No overcrowding this is a semi-private excursion. A maximum of 12 guests will enjoy a 4 hr trip from St. Thomas to St John. At one of the many snorkel spots around St John (Trunk or Maho Bay, Christmas Cove) or nearby uninhabited Cays (Mingo, Lovango or Stevens) you will have snorkeling gear to explore coral reefs that are home to tropical fish such as snapper, parrotfish, sturgeonfish, squirrelfish and other sea life including swimming with turtle. Once the group is finished snorkeling, enjoy complimentary soda and beer. After snorkeling, we will whisk you away to either Hawksnest Bay or Honeymoon Beach at Caneel Bay (weather dependent). Nice experience with beach being the highlight

Plan on staying at a beach for a large part of your drive through the national park. Visitor center is very austere and sites are very similar. Beaches are beautiful and water is crystal clear, shallow for some distance from the beach and very refreshing. Find a place with shade if you are not a sun seeker. Maho Bay was very nice and easily accessed.

Kenneth was very informative and the scenery is breathtaking. More spots to stretch the legs would have been nice for someone with a bad knee but overall a nice overview of St. John.

Beautiful beaches

On time and pleasant. Beaches were beautiful. Minimal time at lookouts. Trunk beach was beautiful. No life guards or anyone to assist you with the snorkeling . Staff renting equipment were very nice. Bring your own towels since they are not available to rent.

St. John Island Tour and Beach Escapes the Crowd

This ended up being a small group tour of 7 total. Our driver met us at the cruise port promptly and got us to the ferry on time. Get your ferry tickets in advance, the tour company will send you the link and the time to book. We made it with 5 minutes to spare because of a slow truck in front of us, it's a bit of a drive. After the enjoyable ferry ride, our next driver, Kenneth, greeted us and gave us an informative island tour in his open air vehicle. Fun experience on the hilly roads, we enjoyed the beautiful viewpoints and learning about the Annaberg Sugarcane Plantation with its vile history told on many signboards. The highlight was swimming and snorkeling at beautiful, uncrowded Trunk Bay Beach.

This was an amazing experience. Both the driver who transported us to/from.our Hotel and tour guide was great. Kenneth-(tour guide) was extremely informative, patient and very knowledgeable about the history. We had a fabulous time. Make sure and include the Trunk Bay Beach on your tour, you will be so.happy that you did. Pictures can not express the beauty of this beach. This is a MUST DO tour if you are visiting St. THOMAS.
