Top Canmore Day Trips

We were picked up and dropped off directly at our hotel in Canmore instead of having to meet at the designated meeting place, which was very convenient for us. Especially since it was our first time in Canmore and we weren’t very familiar with everything yet. The whole trip was very well organized and on time, from pick-up to every stop, all the way until drop off. Gary was an excellent tour guide. He’s very friendly, easy to talk to, and great at making the experience enjoyable. He also took beautiful photos of me and my husband and encouraged us to make the most out of every stop :) This day tour was definitely worthwhile. We could have driven to the places ourselves, but we’re so glad we decided to book this instead. This excursion was incredible from start to finish. We needed pickup in Calgary and drop-off in Canmore, and even with all our luggage, the process was smooth—we just paid a small fee to bring our bags along. Our guide, Kenneth, truly made the experience special. He kept things fun and engaging while taking us to amazing photo spots, many of which we had to ourselves. Other tour groups didn’t seem to go the same places in winter. One of the highlights was reaching Abraham Lake to see the frozen bubbles—something even locals were surprised we managed to do in winter. It was absolutely worth it. A quick tip: pack a lunch. There was only one early stop at a gas station, and no other food options for the rest of the day. To top it all off, instead of dropping us at a random stop in Canmore, the company contacted us the day before to confirm our accommodations and dropped us right at our front door with all our luggage. It was such a thoughtful touch. Overall, my friends and I had an amazing time and would highly recommend this tour.

This trip was exactly what we were hoping for, our tour guide Sam was amazing. He was so informative, he ran through the itinerary and ensured we didn’t miss out on anything, thank you Sam for showing us fabulous sights, you were professional, fun and above all patient. You planned the day so well, the gondola views were amazing, spending time in Banff town was great, surprise corner had wonderful views and Johnston’s Canyon and lower falls was breathtaking!
