Lovely trip but make sure you know where to get the coach back
Beautiful scenery. Lovely stops. Herceg Novi and Kotor are so nice. The bay is just stunning. It was difficult to hear the guide on the boat though as it was just over a speaker so passengers just talked over him which I did mention to the captain. He just said it's different cultures etc. At Kotor I was given vague instructions on where to find the coach back to Budva (only because I asked) and it wasn't where we were told so we had to ring the company and be sent the map location. Not sure how we would have known otherwise, apparently other passengers weren't told either and just guessed/kept walking further than where we were told.

Best trip ever with an amazing lunch!
This was one of the highlights of our trip. We would HIGHLY recommend it. The guides were amazing. It was so well planned out. They brought you to many locations for beautiful pictures. But it was the lunch, homemade by Drago that was over the top. It was wonderful. We ate in his home. The meat, vegetables and bread were out of this world. Definitely book this trip. I booked through Viator and the company messaged me and made it very clear how to find them off the cruise ship. They got us back to the ship in plenty of time. This is one not to miss.

Fantastic trip well worth the money
Our driver, Dragan, was very experienced with these roads. He was very polite and made sure we were all safe. I traveled by myself and as soon as got into the mini bus I was made very comfortable. The A/C was great and well needed. Plus with only 7 of us altogether we were able to talk to everyone. Dragan, told us all about our trip as we went and he stopped many times for us to take photos. We stopped in a small restaurant for lunch high up in the mountains with a great view, plus a lovely breeze on such a hot day. Dragan, explained all the menu, which was much needed. The food was lovely, although far too much, and the prices were very good. For sure if I ever do this trip again I will be asking for Dragan, (space class) to take me. Every euro was well worth paying for such a fantastic tour.

Great experience
We really enjoyed this kayak tour and the view of Budva from the water. Rodeo are guide was great and gave us lots of information about the surrounding area as we paddled along. It wasn't too strenuous and we had plenty of time to swim and snorkel. We would highly recommend.

My mother and I found...
My mother and I found Petar through Viator and booked him as a guide for a visit to two monasteries near Sveti Stefan. Our family has ancestral roots in the area, and when we mentioned this to Petar, he was genuinely enthusiastic and immediately engaged in helping us explore that connection more deeply.
The first monastery, Praskvica, he brought us to was especially meaningful—it’s where our ancestor’s family grave site is located. We had only seen it in a picture before. Petar spoke with the monks on our behalf, and through his translation we were able to sit down with one of them and learn more about our family’s history. Afterward, the monk offered us some very nice homemade raki.
We also visited a second monastery, Rustovo, higher in the mountains, opened around 2006 and dedicated to the Romanov family of Russia. It is known as a place of healing, particularly for women experiencing difficulties with pregnancy.
Both monasteries are not accessible by tour buses due to very narrow mountain roads. A small vehicle and local knowledge are essential. Petar clearly has strong relationships with the monks and nuns, which made access to these places possible. Without him, we would have missed not only my family’s gravesite, but also a truly unique cultural experience shared over homemade raki in a monastery setting. In addition, the views from the monasteries and the mountain roads were amazing.
If you’re looking for something beyond standard sightseeing—personal, culturally meaningful, and off the beaten path—I highly recommend booking a tour with Petar. He’s also open to customizing the experience, which makes it even more valuable for travelers with specific interests or connections to the region.

The Best
Our guide for the day was George. Native to the country of Montenegro. Spoke clear and crisp English. We spent five hours with George touring Montenegro. George without a doubt best tour guide I’ve ever had. His knowledge of the culture of his country was unmatched. Unmatched in the sense he knew so very much about the history of his country. Plus he is a great NBA fan. I forgave him for being a San Antonio spur fan. We did agree that MJ is the GOAT. My wife and I decided to stop to get coffee only the fine ourselves sitting in a super cool café overlooking the city Island fantastic. I could go on but there’s just too much to say about George and what a great tour he gave us. My wife and I would love to say thank you George for a great experience.
