Perfect Day for Sailing
We were searching for a sunset dinner cruise, but most reviews suggested opting for a sailing cruise and dining at a restaurant. Since the food on dinner cruises is not particularly impressive, we decided to take this sailing tour. It turned out to be a delightful and memorable experience during our vacation. We thoroughly enjoyed watching all the sailboats in the bay. The crew was fantastic, providing us with refreshing drinks and delicious cookies. Afterward, we headed to a fantastic restaurant located right at the harbor for a satisfying meal.

Last of the summer schedule sunset sails - should be called a starlight cruise!
A perfect way to end our 6+ week holiday in NZ - a (past) sunset cruise of Auckland harbor!!! A gloriously clear night with such an array of stars (even with ambient light from Auckland). The crew was fantastic; the captain so informative and laid back - the food - appetizers were great; main course disappointed a little (lukewarm and a little dry). Once they hoisted the mainsail, there was enough breeze to really do some heeling tacks. Thanks all for a great (planned) last night in Auckland. Air New Zealand mucked up our departure plans - but definitely nothing to do with this 'adventure'!

No whales, no worries!
Our trip started out with helping a Little Penguin safely move away from the vessel. A few of us noticed it and brought it to the crew's attention. The crew were very concerned and compassionate about the penguin and did all the right things to ensure its safety before heading out. For me, that really spoke to their commitment to marine animals and that alone made my experience on the catamaran complete before we even left the dock.
The trip was excellent. The crew are all knowledgeable about marine life and shared many facts and kept a close eye out for sealife. I love being out on the salt water getting sprayed. I was dressed for it and I would recommend that anyone going out on the safari, dress warmly and wear rain gear unless you choose to stay off the bow. We saw various sea birds and common dolphins. That was lovely. The crew handed out vouchers for a free safari (that don't expire) because we didn't see any whales. That's pretty awesome, in my books.
It's a great 4 hours, especially if you love getting out on the salt water and hanging out with some marine life 😊.

Auckland Foodie tour
Great experience our tour guide Kath was fabulous. She was not only knowledgeable about the food scene in Auckland but also an expert on the history of the city. The food was great. I advise you not to eat a big breakfast. We had a fun and interactive group of seven.

Stars and Stripes forever
For a child of the 80’s this was a bucket list item. Sailing on an America’s Cup yacht,
JPN 41, raced in San Diego as part of the challenger series. The crew led by Julia was professional and engaging. They let everyone take at turn at the helm and gave us a great experience. You can’t beat sailing on a racing yacht in Auckland harbor!

Hobbiton and cave tours
The entire experience was exceptional! Idil (may have misspelled his name) was a great driver and tour guide. The Hobbiton tour was beyond our expectations-informative, immersive, uncrowded, and entertaining). It’s the opposite of a Disney theme park-peaceful, welcoming, with an incredible attention to detail.
The cave tour was interesting and unlike anything we’ve ever experienced-very different from other cave tours due to the darkness, quiet boats, and glowing worms above you.
Overall, a highly recommended experience.

Experiencing the Shire/Dragon Inn with Auckland and Beyond Tours
Geoff picked us up, and along the 2.5 hr drive he shared his knowledge of all things New Zealand as a 4th generation Kiwi, with consideration that some of the riders might have just traveled over 25 hrs to get to NZ. Once on the movie set, Andrew was our guide with a wondrous enthusiasm after growing up on set as his father worked on the original movie/set. Walking thru the hobbit 'holes', and the level of detail transports you back to the movies. A brilliant experience that I'm grateful I didn't miss.

Amazing Tour of Auckland CBD
Paul was a wonderful guide for us. So much information and so many sights to see. I recommend everyone visiting Auckland CBD to take this tour. It really helps you learn more and understand the area! The stop for lunch and to walk Mr. Eden was perfect.

Views through the clouds
It was easy to exchange our vouchers for tickets.
Our day was full of clouds and raindrops but the views that we saw and photos that we took were still phenomenal. We could see the weather and clouds coming and going which gave us teasing glimpses of Auckland and its harbour. Do this!
