This Estonian cooking class in Tallinn was an absolute highlight of our trip. Reilika was a warm, welcoming, and incredibly engaging host who made the experience both educational and fun. We learned how to prepare traditional Estonian home cooking, including hearty barley bread, classic potato salad, roasted blood sausage with potatoes and sauerkraut, and a delicious layered gingerbread dessert with red currants and berries.
Beyond the food, Reilika brought Estonian culture and history to life with fascinating and often amusing stories about growing up in Estonia during the Soviet era. Her passion, knowledge, and sense of humour made the class feel personal and memorable, not just instructional. We’ll be sure to remember the golden rules of potato salad (no carrots or onion and mash the egg with a fork!!). :)
Everything was well organized, hands-on, and delicious from start to finish. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone wanting an authentic taste of Estonian cuisine and culture.

Absolutely amazing! I loved the food we cooked and it was such a treasured experience to cook and have a meal as a group. There was a great energy and it was everything I was looking for on my travels!

We really enjoyed our cooking class with Relika. It was a very relaxed afternoon and felt like we were cooking in someone’s home kitchen. The homestyle recipes were simple but delicious.

Our small group made for a wonderful hands on experience. We used recipes handed down from generations. Our chef was enthusiastic and engaging as we learned how these recipes reflected her family’s life changes from a Soviet to and independent Estonia!

Loved our cooking class, which ended up being private, thankful wasn't canceled. Learned not only about Estonian home cooking but also what life was like growing up during Soviet rule. It was very informal, helping fix the meal and then sitting around a table, eating and chatting with a friend.

An amazing cooking class my husband and I took. We needed up staying and chatting around the table for an hour, and it was a great experience!

A must do while in Tallinn! Reilika was such a wonderful chef and hostess! I loved that we experienced local dishes. Reilika had us prepare dishes that she would serve if you came to her home. Learning about the food and culture was truly unique. We felt like we were in the countryside having a meal at her home. I highly recommend this experience!
