Alhambra Nasrid Palace and Generalife with Guide
IMO a guide is essential for this attraction. The Alhambra is an ancient walled city and is enormous. It takes up to 3 hours to get around and a guide definitely helps you navigate the route. If you are staying in the old town Granada, it is advisable to get a taxi up to the Alhambra as it is a steep uphill climb.

Fantastic staff, so helpful.
We arrived late and the staff at the office in Granada could not have been more helpful. Arranged for us to download an audio tour which we really enjoyed. Fantastic service.

Terrific English Language Tour
Our guide, Georgia, was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and kind. She made our visit something very special. We were late trying to get tickets to the Alhambra, so this was the way to go for us, and it turned out great. Worth the money for sure!

Our guide Abubakr was excellent. Very knowledgeable and very solicitous and tuned in to our needs. Thoroughly recommend it.

Generalife Gardens
  • The Generalife Gardens are a must-visit for all first-time visitors to Granada.

  • Wear comfortable shoes and be prepared to do quite a bit of walking.

  • Don’t forget to bring sun protection, as southern Spain can get very hot.

  • Strollers are not permitted on the grounds of the Generalife, so plan to bring a baby carrier if needed.

  • The Generalife Gardens are mostly wheelchair accessible, and there are modified tours that cater to—and include—wheelchairs.
