We had an absolutely...
We had an absolutely fantastic time at the sushi masterclass! Our group of 9 people thoroughly enjoyed every single moment of the experience. The instructor was engaging, and the step-by-step guidance made making sushi feel simple and incredibly fun. Everything from the fresh ingredients to the lively atmosphere was perfect, and all of us walked away with great new culinary skills and full stomachs. It was highly organized and accommodated our entire group beautifully, making it an unforgettable experience that we will definitely recommend to all our friends!

A treasure
I considered doing the tea ceremony at a ‘big name hotel’ but it was booked and boy am I glad it was! I believe that fate allowed me to join this great group of diverse people for a very intimate and educational experience. My husband had zero interest in tea ceremonies so I went alone. I felt very safe and comfortable. I tend to get lost easily so my husband and I scouted out the location the night before. It is probably easy to find for normal people but as I said I get lost easily so I was glad we did the dry run. Our instructor was so gracious and did everything possible to ensure everyone was comfortable. I learned a lot and feel like I learned more in this smaller setting than I would have at the brand hotel ceremony. Our instructor talked a lot about the day to day life of people in her neighborhood and how the tea ceremony education starts very early. She also talked about how it is ever evolving. Her knowledge was vast and fascinating. The tea was delicious as were the treats. And there was opportunity to purchase some items to take with you. I loved this experience and would highly recommend it.

Special last evening in Osaka
We had a wonderful time! Momo is so knowledgeable, and she is lovely to speak with about sake and food. The class is conducted in English, held in a private space, and it was just our family, which made it feel all the more special. We took the 6:30 PM class due to the sake tasting. We enjoyed learning to make takoyaki and dining on what we made. The ingredients were fresh (she even caught the octopus herself), and we had an opportunity to expand our takoyaki ingredients, adding corn and prawns. Momo was very knowledgeable and taught us much about different types of sakes, including fruit, how to consider dryness and sweetness levels, the difference in unpasteurized/pasteurized sake, and that aged and dessert sakes exist. A light dessert was served at the end, which was absolutely delicious!
Our 12 year old son loved the class too, and Momo offered a selection of soft drinks for him to enjoy. It was a special experience for our family, and I would highly recommend it. Thank you, Momo. We wish you the very best!

Highly recommend!
This was so much fun. Our guide got to know us then took us on the perfect tour. We had a mix of things with which we were familiar (like sushi rolls) and brand new things (like takoyaki). Our guide was chatty and engaged my teenagers in lots of conversation. I would take this tour again and recommend it to anyone wanting a food adventure in Osaka!

Fun learning experience
We had a great time in this cooking class. We learned to make ramen and gyoza, and most of the prep work was already done, so we could focus on the fun parts. With only four people in the class, it felt calm, personal, and almost one‑on‑one. The food was excellent, and the hands‑on experience was exactly what we were looking for.
If you prefer a loud, high‑energy group activity, this isn’t it. The class takes place inside someone’s apartment, so you do need to be quiet and respectful of the building.

A very unique must-do!
Wonderful experience! Everything you ever wanted to know about mochi, including its history, its purpose, how it’s made, and what it tastes like. Including several surprisingly delicious flavours! Just a fun hands-on experience, and the team were made it even more special with their warm welcome and enlightening presence! Thank you!

Awesome way to see the city
Joel was fantastic! Very knowledgeable and great with my 11 year old son’s questions. We saw so much and we were able to start our trip with key knowledge. He had great restaurants to recommend as well. A highlight of our trip was when an elderly Japanese women came over to say hello to us, she was curious about our family, and we had a lovely conversation.

Fantastic - can’t wait to try at home
What a fantastic experience! We thoroughly enjoyed our sushi-making class today with Lala and Ayu.
Both teachers were incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable, and patient, making the whole experience fun, engaging, and easy to follow. They explained each step clearly, shared fascinating insights into Japanese food culture, and created a relaxed atmosphere where everyone felt comfortable.
The ingredients were fresh, the instruction was excellent, and it was so rewarding to create and enjoy our own sushi for lunch. Lala and Ayu’s enthusiasm and passion for what they do truly shone through and made the class memorable.
We would highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Osaka who wants a hands-on cultural activity and a deeper appreciation of Japanese cuisine.
Thank you, Lala and Ayu, for a wonderful afternoon and a highlight of our trip to Japan!

It was a 10/10 experience...
It was a 10/10 experience that was incredibly thought throught. It was really interesting hearing a breakdown of the making process for sake. All the different sake we tasted were also very delicious. Our guide was made the experience even better by being very kind and easy to talk to.
Highly recommend this experience

I absolutely recommend...
I absolutely recommend this activity! This was an expertly run cooking class. We were a family of 4 (3 adults and 1 teen). This is a highlight of our Japan trip. The guide was warm, inviting and so helpful. We were given the recipes so we are now inspired to make the meal when we get home. Loved it!

Best ramen class
Excellent cooking class- best we have done in Japan. Very efficient and teaching experience. You can also purchase some supplies at the end like garlic grater or cooking chopsticks so can be a nice souvenir.
Please was easy to find- Marina and Kasa were so nice!!!! We were a group of 3 plus 4 more participants so a total of 7 but we did not feel rushed and food was delicious! Try not to eat lunch before!

Go karting with Yuma was the best experience!
Yuma was an incredible tour guide for our go kart experience! He was super kind, patient and helpful. He constantly checked in with us while we were at the red lights to make sure everyone in the group was okay. He took some really great pictures of our group as well as some really awesome videos in our go karts. We would definitely recommend this experience to anyone who is interested!
