Don’t miss the Slea Head Drive tour with Billy!

We had a wonderful time touring the Slea Head Drive with Billy. Being a local lifelong resident, he was full of information about the history of the Dingle Peninsula which was so interesting. He knew all the best places to stop along the drive. Some of our favorite stops were the Beehive huts, feeding the farm animals, watching the sheep dog herding demonstration & just taking in the breathtaking scenery! Plus, the drive was so much more enjoyable for my husband since he didn’t have to drive! We thoroughly enjoyed spending the morning with Billy & it was definitely a highlight of our Ireland vacation!

Great Slea Head Drive tour!

We really enjoyed our private tour of the beautiful Slea Head Drive around the Dingle peninsula! Our tour guide and driver, Tony, did such a great job bringing the breathtaking scenery to life. We learned about the ancient civilization that created stone forts entirely without mortar over 5,000 years ago that are still standing strong today. We also learned about the hermit monks that also built stone huts about 1300 years ago that are also still standing - with stacked stone roofs still intact. We saw baby lambs, learned about naval battles fought off the coast, and even got to play a little Gaelic Football and Hurling (great fun!). And needless to say, I about broke my phone taking pictures of the magnificent scenery and ancient churches along the way. Tony did such a great time managing our time. We told him what time we needed to be back in town and he delivered us right on schedule without ever feeling rushed. If you find yourself in Dingle and want a great experience-book this tour and ask for Tony!

A Great Day Trip

A great trip with a smart and kind driver! (Also incredibly skilled- he always managed to keep the van close to where we were). He had knowledge about everywhere we went and even places we didn’t (like pointing out the house Delores Riordan’s house). It was a scenic and fun way to spend half a day!

I had a really great experience on this tour! Everything was very well organised, and the tour started exactly on time, which I really appreciated. The guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience very interactive and enjoyable. He explained the geography of the area extremely well and shared lots of interesting information along the way, making it easy to understand and keeping everyone engaged. You could really see that he knew the area very well and enjoyed sharing his knowledge with us. I had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend this tour. I would happily do it again!

Unforgettable Experience

This excursion from start to finish was great! At arrival, several staff members are available to greet you and prepare you for your trip. The boat ride itself was beautiful. We were lucky enough to sit and watch a family of bottlenose dolphins play around our boat. We saw seals and another group of common dolphins as well. Collin our guide was informative, entertaining and skilled at maneuvering the boat. This was a great experience that we hope to do again some day!

Slea Head is incredible by eBike

The e-bike tour of Dingle Penninsula was one of the highlights of our tour. The bikes functioned very well, the walkie-talkie helmets made for great fun, and the orientation/map made the adventure much more manageable. Our group went to the Head before one group turned back and another continued on for the entire loop. The views, the flowers, and the beaches were incredible. My daughters also loved the opportunity to hold lambs.

This was a great ride on a tourism boat. The weather was rough and we had a different boat service cancel on us. We were still able to go on this tour and had a lovely time. A very knowledgeable host about Dingle and Ireland at large. Interacted well with guests and had lots of interesting things to share. Very good value for a great experience !

LOVED this whole adventure, would highly recommend!! :)

We absolutely LOVED our whole tour experience!! You meet at the Dingle Harbor - right behind the tourist info office, if you arrive early enough the boat might not be there yet - and hop on a very orange boat with 11 of your new best friends + 2 boat staff. You take this very orange boat to the Great Blasket Island area, then take a small dinghy to get onto the island (the transfer is easy and the 2 boat staff members are so helpful! don't worry - I barely noticed), then have a few hours to explore the island (we managed to join a free OPW tour to learn about the island's history for ~1 hr 15 min and then visited the seals - 50-100m away - on the beach for the remainder of our time on the island; no guarantees there will be a free OPW tour happening that day/while you're there but you can certainly ask at the cafe on the island, otherwise the boat staff do give you maps with points of interest on the island so you can DIY it), then get back on the dinghy/then back on the very orange boat and get back to the Dingle Harbor around 6 hours later, ish. When you're on the orange boat, depending on weather and swells, you will get an "eco tour" - the 2 boat staff will point out (and slow down so you can see!) dolphins and puffins. The boat staff really try hard to look out for wildlife and to make sure everyone can see as much as possible. Highly recommend, as soon as it's safe to, stepping outside at the back of the boat and journeying back there! You'll see so much more! We brought our lunch onto the island with us - you pack in & out your garbage, there are clean & functional public toilets on the island near the cafe, and the cafe itself I think just serves drinks. Go chat with the people running the cafe, they apply to live on the island for ~6 mo and have awesome stories to share. Sean & Richard -- we can't thank you enough for the most wonderful day :)

A great introduction to Galway

Make sure you arrive hungry! We made at least 6 stops for tastings that were far more than a tasting— a real sense of Irish food and Galways pub scene. Not everyone ate everything (food sensitivities being what they are these days) but everyone really had a good time. Our guide Jared (I can’t spell the Irish version of his name) was incredibly knowledgeable and personable, a real entertainer. We learned a lot about Galway you won’t read in the guidebooks.The combination was a winner— the food, the scene, the guide and the other travelers made for a fun 3 hours.

Once In A Lifetime

Breathtaking views of the blasket islands and the beautiful coastline! Dress warm waterproof. They give you waterproof pants and a jacket to put on top of your clothes. Size up for your jacket.The rib tour did feel like a kids roller coaster at times because of the weather but worth it. Very safe. They cancel if bad weather. Also wear a patch or take dramamine if you tend to get sea sick. We saw dolphins swimming alongside our boat and seals on the beach. Our captain explained the views and it was a once in a lifetime experience. Well worth the money
