Cherbourg has its own place in D-Day history — the port was a critical Allied objective in the weeks following June 6. But the beaches where the invasion began are just an hour to the south, and this private tour takes you straight there. From the moment your driver meets you at the cruise terminal, the day is yours. No group, no fixed script, no bus. Just a comfortable private vehicle, a driver who knows the roads and the history, and the freedom to experience Normandy on your own terms. You'll visit Pointe du Hoc — where the cliff faces still bear the scars of the assault. You'll walk Omaha Beach, where the scale of what happened here becomes impossible to ignore. And you'll stand among the white crosses of the Normandy American Cemetery, one of the most moving places in Europe. Upgrade with a licensed historian guide for a deeper, richer understanding of the Normandy Campaign.

Bayeux is the perfect base for D-Day history. The beaches are less than thirty minutes away — close enough for a half-day, rich enough to fill a full one. This private tour takes you to the defining sites of June 6, 1944: Pointe du Hoc, Sainte-Mère-Église, Omaha Beach, and the Normandy American Cemetery. Four places that tell the full story of the landings — from the cliffs stormed by Rangers to the village where the first paratroopers touched down, to the beach where the battle was hardest, to the hillside where the fallen now rest. Because this is a private tour, you set the pace. Your driver picks you up at your Bayeux hotel and stays with you all day. No group, no schedule forced on you, no rushing past the things that matter. Bayeux puts you closer to this history than almost anywhere else in Normandy. This tour makes sure you see it properly. Versailles is three hours from Le Havre. That is a long drive for a shore day — and it is worth it. The Palace of Versailles is not just a building. It is the physical expression of absolute power: 700 rooms, 2,000 acres of formal gardens, a Hall of Mirrors that runs for 73 metres and still stops people in their tracks. Louis XIV built it to remind everyone — guests, courtiers, ambassadors, rivals — exactly who was in charge. This private tour picks you up at the Le Havre cruise terminal and takes you directly to Versailles, giving you five full hours to explore at your own pace. No group, no guide with a flag, no schedule that isn't yours. Your driver returns you to Le Havre in time for our ship — guaranteed. Important: The Palace is closed on Mondays. The gardens remain open. If your ship is in port on a Monday, the gardens alone are still an extraordinary half-day — but check the date before booking.
