Van Gogh and Dutch Heritage Tours organizes high-quality cultural and historical trips for tourists who want to discover the Netherlands through the life, work, and world of Vincent van Gogh. The concept combines small-scale luxury touring, storytelling, art history, Dutch cultural heritage, and authentic local experiences. We focus on Van Gogh's early period and on the history of the Netherlands in general. The tour guide is highly experienced and has studied 19th-century art in the Netherlands and also for 4 years in the United States (under the guidance of renowned art historians such as Prof. Al Boime (UCLA) and Prof. Gabe Weisberg (University of Minnesota)). This isn't a bus tour past the lock gates. It's a self-guided walk through the village where Dutch water management began — the Kolksluis, still called the oldest working lock in Europe, the church where Frans Hals signed the register, and the 1641 Gemeenlandshuis where Rijnland's dike overseers worked. The StepQuests app guides you by GPS in English or Dutch, with real stories and quizzes at every stop, go at your own pace, ending with a drink at Cafe Spaarndam overlooking the lock.

The tour offers a unique opportunity to hear special stories about C.G. Jung and the concept of ‘synchronicity’ conceived by him. The tour guide - who hosts a podcast about synchronicity - will also share a remarkable family story that took place in Amsterdam and became visible through synchronicity. You will walk amidst the backdrop of events connected by meaningful coincidences. Reconnecting with this phenomenon helps in recognizing these remarkable moments that act as subtle signposts in your life. Are you interested in synchronicity and would you like to combine that with a walk through Amsterdam? If the group is interested, we will exchange stories about synchronicity to discover what it means. It promises to be wonderful, and we look forward to meeting you!
