This is a half day trip which includes History, Museums and Wildlife. We will visit Arch 22, and museum in Banjul the capital. We will visit a local market to experience the culture and see crocodiles and monkeys up close

With the help of Jatou, who is our older sister, you will go to the local market to pick up fresh ingredients. After the market we will head to Jatous home where we will cook a local dish together! This cooking class is for you if you are interested in experiencing a bit of the local culture and also visit a local home.

Get an insight into local life that’s impossible to achieve from the confines of your hotel on this private Gambian home cooking class, conducted in a real Gambian compound. Experience some of Africas majestic animals in their natural habitat. On this full day tour to neighbouring Senegal you will have the chance to encounter lions, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, water buffaloes and rhinos. The trip starts early as we go to Banjul and cross the Gambia river with a ferry. In the reserve we will be driving around with the car. This is a good way to come close to the animals. The visitor center also houses a cafeteria for refreshments. You can also do a Lion walk where you can walk with the lions. Please note that the lion walk is not included in the price but can be paid on site. You will have to be over 150 cm to do the lion walk. Visiting one of Gambia's Eco Forest in a beautiful settings. Explore the creek in a canoe (30 -40 mins) and roam the palm forest for 1 or 1 1/2 hrs with chances of wildlife sightings. Meet with some locals who use the forest to practice their trade or culture, such as the fortune teller and the palm wine tapper. We depart early to explore both sides of the Gambia (north and south),we drive cross to the North Bank to visit the Wassu Stone Circles, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Drive to Kuntaur to board our boat to explore the River Gambia, a 2-3hrs relaxing cruise. Be on the lookout for Hippos, Crocodiles, Baboons, Monkeys, colourful birds and Chimpanzees. We will be cruising around River Gambia National Park (RGNP) before returning back to Kuntaur for our evening drive to Janjangbureh. (Please note; Chimpanzees are kept on islands and visitors are only allowed to sail around the islands) The next morning, we exploring the Island on foot and depart after lunch towards our hotel On the return journey, if it falls on a market day we would stop to visit a ‘Lumo’ (our weekly African open flea market) an opportunity to witness traditional bartering in this unique setting.Proceed to visit one of the local family compounds to learn about the traditional way of life
