Fantastic experience.

Everything was very well organised and they communicated with us really well. Very helpful throughout. Our driver, Salvo, was very competent. Felt perfectly safe. Our two guides Alfio and Giulia were incredibly knowledgeable and really helped us understand the true power of Etna. We also left some sunglasses on the minibus. Totally our fault. Great excursion from our cruise ship and very convenient

We thoroughly enjoyed our day with Danilo. He is so very knowledgeable and passionate about Mt. Etna. We were met and dropped off within a 10 minute walk from our cruise ship and returned to our ship in plenty of time. We are in our 70’s and Danilo loaned us some hiking poles, which was a nice bonus. We were very fortunate to have a beautiful day, with unlimited visibility overlooking Catania. Our guide Danilo made the day very interesting.

Truly amazing experience with our host

We booked this class. It was very close to our cruise port. Row was truly amazing. He opened his home to us and provided an amazing experience. The wine was great. The food was great and we were partnered with another family who was also wonderful. They had children in the thoroughly enjoyed it as well and was so wonderful to be immersed in the Italian culture. Hundred percent would recommend our host to anyone!!

The ultimate Mount Etna tour-highly recommended!

We booked this tour to Mount Etna and this was spectacular from start to finish! Gianni our tour guide pick us up right on time in a comfortable vehicle and drove us up to some of the most breathtaking lava fields and extinct craters. Gianni made our entere group fell completely safe, providing excellent safety gear, checking on everyone’s pace and navigating the volcanic terrain effortlessly. Gianni was incredible passionate, sharing great stories about how local life and agriculture adapt to the volcano! Gianni and the other guide brought us into a stunning volcanic lava cave where they explained about the cave history and legends of the region! Very interesting and fascinating! They are very knowledgeable and wonderful tour guides! The tour ended with a visit to the Gambino winery where we tested the Gambino wines all then with a great quality and good taste! Very recommended! Gianni was above an beyond to make this a magical day over the clouds!

Highly recommended

This was a nice introduction to traditional foods of Catania. Julia was a lovely guide who provided information about the food as well as Catania. She took us to several places, some of which we returned to a few days later. It was a relaxed walk around the city, sampling different types of foods. A very friendly group to spend a few hours with, tasting traditional foods and chatting. Food tours are a great way to be introduced to a city. Recommended.

Very easy to book the experience, our plans changed and I had to add a person and that was done easily through WhatsApp chat. The tour was fascinating,very well organised, it took about an hour in a van from our b&b(where we got collected) we had a lovely tasting experience, then cave education and then nice and relaxed walk up to mount Etna. Really nice and educational and we will have wonderful pictures and memories forever

We had eight people in...

We had eight people in our group which made it a nice small number so we were able to see everything well. We drove about an hour up to Mount Etna. Our van was an eight passenger van, so it was smaller than your typical tour bus. We were able to see many of Mt. Etna's sights including a lava tube. Paolo, our guide, was the reason I gave this tour a five. He was so knowledgeable and so much fun.

Perfect transfer experience!

Our transfer experience was wonderful! The driver was attentive to our flight and tracked it prior to our landing. He communicated with us as soon as we landed and shared a clear picture to mark the meeting spot. He ended up picking us up earlier than we requested because our flight was early, so we did not have to wait at the airport. Would certainly use again!

Getting a local guide is the way to go

We met Elena, our guide, at the port after our tender dropped us off. Elena was very personable and friendly, and was totally open to how we wanted to customize the tour. She had a great suggestion for heading up to Castelmona first, where she took us to a great pub/bar with some “interesting” decorations. She explained about the various parts of the area, and then later we drove down to Taormina, where we went to a great Arancino spot, which was amazing. We never would have found it or the other sites without Elena’s first hand knowledge of the area. We were very happy with Elena and was glad to hear she was ok after Mt. Etna erupted the day our ship left port.

Do not even hesitate to take this tour- it was AMAZING ! Alessandro definitely takes pride he what he does and it shows. From our initial booking, with me sending him a barrage of texts with questions ( via WhatsApp ) he ALWAYS responded in a timely fashion. In addition coordinating our pick up times and drop off with the ships schedule was effortless. The tour itself was so informational and his knowledge down to every last detail was fantastic. Great Experience, filled with surprises!

We had an unforgettable day exploring Mount Etna and visiting the Gambino Winery. Our guide, Martino, was exceptional—knowledgeable, engaging, and genuinely passionate about his land, its history, and the unique culture of the Etna region. His enthusiasm made every stop more meaningful, from the volcanic landscapes to the vineyards thriving in Etna’s fertile volcanic soil. The stop at the honey farm was a great experience, arriving just before the tour groups, making us feel like it was a private tour! The winery visit was a highlight, with excellent wines, delicious local food, and fascinating insights into the winemaking traditions of the area. Martino came through again, he took us to a private part of the vineyard that was quiet and very romantic. On our way back, we stopped at the Chestnut of One Hundred Horses, and then proceeded on our way, only to be surprised again by a gift of delicious Italian cookies.! If you’re looking for an authentic Sicilian experience, I highly recommend this tour, and Martino. Thank you, Martino for sharing your passion and making our visit so memorable!
