An Unforgettable Day with Serban Riga! Extra attractions and a museum of knowledge and verbal storytelling!
Even better than hoped for! Our guide Serban Riga provided blissfully energetic leadership to the iconic castles and medieval countryside of beauty and mythology.
Not only did Serban provide well-paced and abundant information every step of the way, he offered the option for guided touring or to go off on our own at the castles. That flexibility is priceless on tours of this kind.
Because of his stellar knowledge of all of the sites, he also timed the visits so that we were able to enjoy even more than the original itinerary provided for. Quick jaunts through foothill villages, spotting the famous Christian Cross high on the mountain, and even movie sets as we rolled through the countryside.
His exuberance is infectious and immerses you into Romanian society with a refreshingly candid point of view. He holds nothing back, is very straightforward, and full of positivity.
You feel personally cared for and know you are in great hands all along the way.
Excellent driver with a great rapport with Serban. You really felt that they were a team looking to deliver optimal quality and experiences for all of us.
I highly recommend choosing Serban and this particular small group tour if visiting the castles. Pay attention to his recommendations regarding admission to the sites, and be sure to budget your time for things such as souvenirs or eating appropriately as it is a jam packed schedule. Not much time to waste in order to see all of the beautiful sites.
If you have great interest in one castle or the other, I would recommend putting aside an entire day for each in order to not feel too rushed. I personally enjoyed this sampler tour because we were able to get so much accomplished in one trip, but I know one of my friends would’ve preferred more time at Bran Castle over Peles Castle.
In a group tour, there will always be different preferences for different people, so try to be specific about your goals before booking. Serban was very clear and fair about getting group consensus about where we would spend time and where we would cut corners. He was very open to consensus.
Coming from the United States, it was an extra treat to enjoy such a comprehensive tour with such an established team of guides for such a reasonable price. In my opinion, it would be very hard to spend less and get more out of your day. A great value!
Our tour consisted of approximately 14 people, and we were able to avoid the famously long lines, especially at Bran Castle. Another reason to take this tour with Serban or similar size tours rather than a large bus tour for the same sites.
For the price difference, do yourself a favor and make sure you book this small tour over the large bus tour if at all possible. Nothing against them, I’m sure they are fine but the tighter your group the better your experience will be.
I learned so much from Serban during that day. I feel like I could have asked him questions all day long and never grown bored of gaining more insight. His storytelling and delivery of information was so easy to understand and identify with. A true pro.
I hope to be able to take another tour with him sometime in the future and highly recommend you treat yourself as well.

Great day exploring the Carpathian Mountains, and Transylvania
Our guide, Andre was on time and had a great day planned for us. The drive was beautiful, although mostly rainy. But we loved Brasov's Old Town and enjoyed exploring this beautiful town with Andre's commentary. Peles Palace was beautiful, amazing architecture, and a very interesting history. Andre was so good in knowing the history of every place we went and able to share it so well. At Bran castle, Andre made us a reservation at a great restaurant that he knew and frequented many times. He joined us for a late lunch and we had a wonderful time. Long day, but this is a must do!

Excellent orientation of Bucharest on bike
Excellent communication via whatsapp prior to the tour, confirmed that they have small frame bikes for petite adult and kids bikes. Health and safety works differently in eastern europe, so no obligatory helmets or rules around 10 year olds on bikes next to traffic - but that is the fun of it. My daughter loved biking amongst traffic and felt a huge sense of achievement. Lucia was extremely knowledgeable and took us around all the main landmarks with an open honest conversation about the life in the country. Talking about her own experience as a child in the communist regime was so much more authentic than any revised facts commentary. We cycled on a very hot day and water was provided. All bikes were well maintained, gears worked well and had baskets to keep our bags. All in all, a very enjoyable half a day.

Lots of gratitude from Turkish Family
We had an excellent trip
to Peles and Bran Castle as well
as Brasov with our outstanding
guide Bogdan, who was very
helpful, knowledgeable and kind.
Apart from giving information to
the places we visited, we were very
pleased to have conversation about
the world politics, history, economy
and sports. He was a qualified,
intellectual man and he also helped
us to taste some local food in a
good restaurant in the village
which we really liked. On the other
hand, his car was very comfortable,
quite big and very clean.
We had such a wonderful
day. Thank you very much Bogdan.
We are happy to meet you.

A great afternoon experience
After arriving in town we decided this would be a great way to check out around town. Alan was a great guide he explained about the city, the history and the culture. He really looked after us, gave us time to take photos and was very patient. Would highly recommend this as a way to view what the city has to offer

Valentin gave us a...
Valentin gave us a wonderful introduction to Bucharest. He was knowledgeable, personable and flexible. In 2 hrs he covered a great deal of important historical and current sites. The information was accented by pictures he showed us of events in the history of the city. All this and he dropped us off at a recommended restaurant. Highly recommended.

A must-do experience in Bucharest for wine connoisseurs!
This was simply an amazing experience. I was the only one on this tour and it was one of the highlights of my Bucharest visit. I was generous quantities of wine and the charcuterie board. There was no rush and I was given enough time to really enjoy this experience!
Thank you so much for being an amazing host, and also for the spicy jam! Highly recommend this tour!

Great day exploring this beautiful countryside with an expert driver
Kristian was outstanding driver and a terrific conversationalist. We enjoyed our day with him.
The Peles castle had incredible wood carving throughout .
The Bran castle was a fun challenge going up and down the stairs.
The lunch at Brasov was very good. We managed to see the three sites mentioned in two hours.
All of the sites were touristy but well organized. We enjoyed the beautiful scenery of the drive and were glad to say we got to Transylvania.

Lots of Fun in Constanta
Constanta is best visited with Bogdan, our knowledgeable and fun guide/driver. We dipped our feet in the Black Sea, saw mosaics and ruins from Roman times, stared at ornate architecture from Greek to Ottoman to Romanian Baroque in the Old Town that overlooks the modern seaport — a great contrast of old and new. Bogdan was very informative and knew the best place for lunch. We ate delicious Turkish food at Bosra then strolled back to the car via the mosque and Greek Quarter. On our drive back to Bucharest, we stopped at Rasov Winery. It was a delightful day punctuated with laughter and local insight. You won’t go wrong with a tour with Bogdan. You'll leave feeling you've made a friend.

Best tour guide we've had in years!
Cristine was a wonderful guide. Besides being very knowledgeable, her clarity of speaking English made the tour much better for me, as I am very hearing impaired and have some difficulty walking distances. When the tour stopped she always did so where I could sit or lean. Very few guides we've met (hundreds over the years) have been so accomodating. She is a remarkable guide.

An excellent overview of Bucharest’s history and culture.
We both had a very enjoyable time with Alina. Her knowledge and enthusiasm of Bucharest was excellent and the tour was full of interesting facts about the local customs, history and culture of the city and what it’s like to live in Bucharest over the past decades and which still very much lives on today.
I would very much recommend this tour to anyone visiting the city. We found a great help having it early on in our day as it was a was a great starting point for the few days we spent in Bucharest.
If you’re lucky enough to have Alina as your guide that will be an extra bonus.
