Beautiful scenery
The views at Shala River and Komani Lake were absolutely beautiful and definitely worth seeing. The boat ride through the mountains was peaceful, and the water at Shala River was crystal clear. The day was quite long with a lot of travelling, so be prepared for an early start and a late finish. There was enough time to enjoy the scenery, although I would have liked a little longer at Shala River. Overall, the tour was well organised, our guide Noel was friendly, and everything ran smoothly. If you’re visiting Albania, it’s a lovely day trip for the incredible natural scenery.

Don't Miss This Trip
One not to miss. The fact that it is a small group adds to the experience. There were couples, single travellers and friends on this trip, and within 5 mins we were all laughing and getting to know each other. Marjan is so insightful and helpful on top of being an amazing driver on these local roads. The hikes are manageable with proper footwear, as Marjan gives you a rest when he sees anyone needing one. He has worked hard at building up his business and it is clear to see why all who go give great reviews. Visiting the Blue Eye of Theth, then onto Grunasi Waterfall and lastly to iconic church at Theth is one you will want to experience and honestly it was made even more authentic by having Marjan, guide and explain some of the history of the region. Of all my trips in Albania over the past nearly 4 weeks, this one was amazing.

This day trip to Berat...
This day trip to Berat completely exceeded my expectations! It is hands down the most stress-free and cost-effective way to explore the "City of a Thousand Windows."Our guide, Klajdi, was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and spoke fluent English. They shared fascinating insights into Albania’s history and culture, making the 2-hour drive pass by so quickly. The brief coffee stop by the scenic Belshi Lake on the way was a lovely bonus.Once in Berat, the castle district took my breath away. Our guide knew all the best viewpoints and recommended where to capture the perfect panoramic shots of the iconic Ottoman houses.
