Fun and majestic day out.
Excellent tour and my driver BHIMO was fun to talk to and had great English proficiency. Don’t forget to bring a change of cloths for after the river. Overall lots of fun and the main cave is spectacular.

Give it a go!
So much fun! My driver, Seta, arrived at my hostel at the given pick up time. I was a bit nervous about the drop down to the cave as I hadn’t done this type of activity before but Seta was able to instil confidence in me to go ahead with it, as he is an experienced climber and has done the cave himself many times!
They paired me up with another solo traveller and drop was actually really calm and not scary at all. Walking inside the cave to the heavenly light was easy since they gave us gum boots beforehand, and the path is clear with stepping stones. The photographer in the cave was happy to take many photos for me too!

We had a wonderful day...
We had a wonderful day exploring Jomblang Cave and tubing along the Pindul and Oyo rivers. The entire tour was well organised, and each activity was beautiful, peaceful and thoroughly enjoyable.
Our guide, Maxi, was fantastic. He was attentive, accommodating and genuinely kind, and he went above and beyond to ensure that we had the best possible experience. He was flexible throughout the day, always had a positive attitude and made us feel completely comfortable. We also trusted him fully to look after our valuable belongings while we participated in the activities.
Maxi took excellent photos of us, which gave us some wonderful memories of the day. Lunch was also absolutely delicious and another highlight of the tour.
The caves were spectacular, and tubing along the rivers was a relaxing and beautiful experience. We had a fantastic time and would highly recommend this tour, especially with Maxi as your guide!

Great time with Maxi!
Maxi was my tour guide. He was so nice and even attempted to treat me breakfast! He took me to few extra stops because I moved quick. He was very positive, respectful and accommodating. He was very knowledgeable about all the temples and places that we went to. He was never late and was always ready to match my speed and timing. Highly recommend this tour and Maxi for future travelers.

Amazing experience
The best day of the trip in Indonesia. Our driver Himawan was the best driver ever, he was very friendly and funny and give us a lot of information during the trip. I really recommend this experience, the sun rise was really nice and so was mount Merapi, but the Jomblang cave and Timang beach were breathtaking.

Cave adventures in Yogya
Big thanks to our driver Wahyu who made our trip easy and enjoyable. The cave is a short hike from the registration area and the staff is careful to prioritize everyone's safety. The start and end times for this activity seem to be the same for everyone meaning there's only one time slot. This is an activity any nature lover would enjoy. Be aware that the interior of the cave is very muddy and the rocks can be very slippery. There are guides to assist with walking thru the cave. After Jomblang, a dip in the cool Oyo river an hour away is equal parts refreshing and adventurous. A great experience overall in Yogyakarta!

Our guide, Mr. Dani, was...
Our guide, Mr. Dani, was friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. He went out of his way to make sure we had the best day possible. It had rained overnight and earlier in the day so the cave was a crazy muddy mess, but muck boots were provided as well as hoses to wash off after. Definitely bring a change of clothes just in case you slip and fall. But honestly, chucking through the mud made for a rollicking adventure and the view of sunlight streaming through the hole was well worth it. The lunch the cave provided - chicken, tofu, vegetables and rice cooked in banana leaves - was delicious. It was a very early start to make it to Mt Merapi for sunrise but we slept in the car going from there to the cave so it all worked out ok. Visiting the museum to see the damage the eruption caused in 2010 was sobering and also a highlight of our day. Timang beach is not a beach, beach - you do not need to bring a swimsuit! Definitely take the hand powered gondola out to the rocky outcropping and watch the waves smash into to coast. It was mesmerizing!
