Our aim is to help both local and visiting folks learn more about the nature surrounding the Comox Valley and beyond, including plants, birds, and the ecosystem as a whole. When we get out into nature and finally take a breath of fresh air, we experience health benefits instantly and long-term. We will learn plant ID through repetition and note-taking if desired. Participants will receive a PDF guide to key plant and tree species of the area to take notes and refer back to, either through printing themselves (free), purchasing a high-quality booklet version ($10), or using the company's reusable resources (free).

We will then paddle out into Barkley Sound and experience the open Pacific Ocean. Your guide will point out some spectacular views of the rocky shores, gigantic kelp beds, and perhaps an ancient first nations whaling beach or some incredible nearby rock formations. Sea lion colonies, black bears, seals, and whales may all be spotted by kayak on this day trip. After a couple of hours paddling in the morning, your guide will take you to one of the nearby sandy beaches to enjoy a delicious picnic lunch and a short rest. Your tour will continue for another couple of hours before returning to our dock for an estimated arrival time of 3:00pm.

We provide a memorable 3 hour sailing adventure, on our safe, comfortable Hunter 35.5 yacht, which may include possible sightings of orca whales, eagles, seals, and porpoises. Guests are welcome to help as much or as little as they want sailing the boat, or just relaxing! Optional stop at Sidney Spit Marine Park by prior arrangement.
