Another highlight of this tour is the Lake of lotus, a serene body of water surrounded by lush greenery. Surrounded by rolling hills and forests, Madhabpur Lake is one of the most pristine lakes in Bangladesh. The crystal clear water of the lake reflects the greenery surrounding it, creating a magical sight, especially during the monsoon. Sylhet is known as the spiritual heart of Bangladesh—a place shaped by faith, rivers, old neighbourhoods, tea gardens and warm local communities. If you have one day in Sylhet and want to experience more than its famous sights, this private journey brings the city’s stories, people and flavours together. Begin at the sacred shrine of Hazrat Shahjalal, walk across historic Keane Bridge beside the Surma River and feel the energy of local markets. Visit the city’s museums, hear the migration stories behind the name “Second London,” and explore Malnichhara, Bangladesh’s first commercial tea garden. The heart of the experience is sharing a traditional Manipuri meal with community hosts, learning about their living culture through respectful conversation and tasting familiar Sylheti flavours. With the personal care of a local host, this is more than sightseeing—it is a chance to understand Sylhet, connect with its people and carry home memories rooted in real life.

Recognized as Best Homestay at the Bangladesh Tourism Award 2026 and approved by the Bangladesh Tourism Board, Charubala Homestay offers a personal experience of rural life in Juri. For four days and three nights, our 11-member Hindu joint family welcomes you with traditional Bengali hospitality and home-cooked meals. Ride a pedal van along village lanes, passing farms, tea gardens and rural landscapes. Spend time with tea-garden families and Indigenous Manipuri and Khasi communities, learning about their traditions, food and daily lives—including the Khasi custom through which family lineage and inheritance pass through women. Walk through the Patharia Hills, feel the mist at Madhabkunda Waterfall and, when conditions allow, cross Hakaluki Haor by wooden boat. Charubala is a simple family home, not a hotel. Local guides, drivers, cooks and community hosts help shape the journey, so your stay directly supports the people who share their culture and knowledge with you.
