Great morning on the water!
If you’re an experienced paddler or looking for a workout, you might want to message the guide and arrange for a separate session. If there are other less experienced paddlers in the group you’ll paddle less but it’s still a great time being on the water. It’s a lovely area and Matt shares a great deal of history. He’s super knowledgeable and a great kayak instructor. I enjoyed this experience a lot and took time after to visit the Fish Market which is next door! Don’t miss it!

Matt was an excellent host and treated everyone with kindness, while being aware and welcoming of any skill level. The trip itself was informative, both in terms of the vessels themselves and of the areas and history we were traveling around. This is among my favorite activities I’ve experienced in Sydney.

This was my very first kayak tour and it was such an amazing experience! Matt was a fantastic guide.He didn’t just show us how to pose for pictures, he really taught us how to kayak the right way. He also shared some great history and stories about Sydney, which made the whole experience even more special. Matt is such a friendly and easygoing guy, and I highly recommend him if you’re looking for a fun and memorable kayak tour.

Matt was very informative...
Matt was very informative about what we kayaked past but also gave us a good tutorial on the true way to kayak in great sea kayaks! We were able to paddle under the harbour bridge due to a small experienced group and he gave us tips to take on all the boat wake as well. It was so much fun!
Goat Island
- Be sure to pack a camera, since views from Goat Island are some of the best in Sydney Harbour.
- There aren’t any food or drink vendors on the island, so pack a snack and bring a water bottle (there are filling stations).
- The ground surface on Goat Island is uneven, making it unsuitable for most travelers who use wheelchairs.
- Pets and smoking are not allowed on the island.
