A little rocky, but great views!

While the Segway was not quite as easy as I expected, my guide Walter was very kind and gave me a little extra time for training. When I still couldn’t get the hang of it, he offered to hold the handle bar for support so I wouldn’t fall. There was a scheduling error and I ended starting at 6:30pm, but it was a happy accident as I ended up getting to see the parks all lit up at night. It was so beautiful!

Fun and enjoyable tour

Walter was great. He was friendly and knowledgeable. He tailored the tour to our interests. We decided to view some of the many parks in Greenville. By far, the most poignant park is Cancer Survivors Park. My wife is a cancer survivor and she was moved by how well the park was laid out. Parking can be cumbersome, but the trip was thoroughly enjoyable.

Never fear!

Walter was such a highly skilled, professional, and very helpful segway instructor. I was quite anxious and uncertain about segways but around 20 minutes in, I was completely comfortable, confident, and felt like I mastered it in relatively short amount of time. I loved the route taken and I felt like I saw parts of Greenville that even the locals haven't seen!

Scope out West Greenville to see the city’s artistic hub—there are some 60-plus shops and galleries in this district.
Skip I-85 where you can and trade it for the Cherokee Foothills Scenic Highway 11.
