Our guide,Walter, did a fantastic job. Learned valuable information about history of Greenville and places to eat. It was clear,Walter knew what he was doing in the Segway training and made us feel comfortable before we left.

A little rocky, but great views!
While the Segway was not quite as easy as I expected, my guide Walter was very kind and gave me a little extra time for training. When I still couldn’t get the hang of it, he offered to hold the handle bar for support so I wouldn’t fall. There was a scheduling error and I ended starting at 6:30pm, but it was a happy accident as I ended up getting to see the parks all lit up at night. It was so beautiful!

Great way to see Greenville!
Walter was a good tour guide and definitely knew a great deal about Greenville. He also paid attention to training and safety. We saw so much more of the city on Segway than what we could have walked.

Fun and easy miles!
Walter’s knowledge of the area, his concern for my safety, and his tailoring of our adventure to meet my interests were all extraordinary. The city is beautiful, and the Segway tour was a wonderful way to experience both the urban and natural areas of Greenville.

  • Use the free downtown trolley to get around Thursdays through Sundays; it’s vintage-esque and red, white, and blue.

  • Scope out West Greenville to see the city’s artistic hub—there are some 60-plus shops and galleries in this district.

  • Skip I-85 where you can and trade it for the Cherokee Foothills Scenic Highway 11.
