At the junction of Bosnia and Herzegovina with Montenegro, at the foot of the high mountains of Maglić, Volujak and Zelengora, where the inaccessible canyon of the river Sutjeska widens, the settlement of Tjentište was tucked away. The large memorial complex was built on Tjentište in honor and memory of the great Battle of Sutjeska (5th Offensive, "Operation Schwarz"), one of the bloodiest battles fought by partisan forces in 1943 against combined German and Italian troops. The subsequent development of the activity brought with it decisions for the expansion and construction of a larger complex, which includes: the Sutjeska Battle Memorial, an ossuary, a small brigade amphitheater, the Battle Museum, the Sutjeska Battle Memorial House (Spomen dom) and a number of memorials in the vicinity of Tjentišta. The area of Sutjeska was declared a National Park on January 13, 1962. Minimum number of passengers is four (4).

Do you wish to hike to the tallest waterfall in all of Bosnia and Herzegovina with a height of 98 meters and have a picnic lunch with an unforgettable view? If so, this tour is perfect for you! From the starting point of the hike, there is around 5 kilometers of slightly downhill terrain which is going to Skakavac waterfall. When we reach the waterfall, we will have our picnic lunch there. After lunch, we will take a different uphill trail which is going to show us a different view of the waterfall, from the top side. That trail is approximately 3 kilometers long. After we have enjoyed the view, we will walk for another 2 kilometers on flat gravel, back to our starting point.

By the arrival in Kraljeva Sutjeska You have the feeling that You have sailed through time and have returned to the past. Kraljeva Sutjeska and fortress Bobovac were the seat of two Bosnian kings of the Kotromanić, Tomaš and Tvrtko dynasties. The importance of this historical fortress is also that the Bosnian royal crown was guarded, the royal grave chapel, which is assumed that King Stjepan Ostoja ordered the old bishop’s church to be rearranged for that purpose. Three Bosnian kings were buried there: Stjepan Ostoja, Tvrtko II Kotromanić and Stjepan Tomaš Kotromanić. The only fully preserved object in Bobovac is the mausoleum which Queen Katarina raised to the King Tvrtko after his death. For the last Bosnian Queen, St. Catherine, women as a sign of grief in their traditional costumes cover the head with a black scarf. Moved to Tears- Excellent Tour

Words cannot adequately describe how powerful and moving this tour was. Mak was an exceptional guide. His knowledge of the history, politics, and human impact of the Bosnian War is remarkable, but what made this experience truly unforgettable was his willingness to share his own story as a survivor of the Siege of Sarajevo. It cannot be easy to repeatedly revisit events that brought so much trauma and loss to your family and your country. Yet Mak does so with kindness, humility, and grace because he understands the importance of preserving these firsthand accounts. Hearing his experiences gave me a perspective and understanding of Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the war that I never could have gained from reading a book or watching a documentary. Mak was warm, funny, thoughtful, and incredibly diplomatic in his presentation of difficult subjects. He went out of his way to make sure everyone felt welcome and engaged throughout the tour. I cannot recommend him highly enough. And Mak, if you happen to read this: I’m the person you said reminded you of your mother. Thank you for sharing her photo and for sharing your story. That small moment of connection meant a great deal to me. Your tour moved me to tears more than once, and it is something I will carry with me long after I leave Sarajevo.

Very informative and worthwhile tour

This tour was a highlight of our time in Sarajevo. Our guide, Ago, shared many stories that helped bring to life the experience of the seige and gave needed context to the geopolitics forces that caused it. He was very energized and upbeat, despite the somber content. He also took care for our comfort and understanding. We left with a hunger to keep learning about the history of Bosnia and an appreciation for the strength of it's people.

Our driver was waiting at arrivals, he was brilliant so polite and professional. He was a young student who drove impeccably he was such a friendly person and he gave us a great insight into life in Sarajevo and BiH. On time, polite friendly and knowledgeable a great first impression of BiH. I would highly recommend this service Our flight was 8.30 in the evening so really didn't want to try out a new public transport system. Very glad we chose this service.

Highly recommended!

Tour takes you to 2 different cities that are beautiful! First is a nice stop for lunch and an ottman style mosque. Next is the large fortress and beautiful waterfalls. Lastly, ending with the highlight being the water mills. This was such a great experience! A lot of time in the car/van but the guide Ben was very friendly, informative, knowledgeable, and answered ANY questions asked! Ben made the experience that is naturally a 8/10 for the sights a 11/10 with his hospitality! We highly recommend Ben. Kenan is also very good with communication before and after the tour! Thank you both!

Excellent tour: Tadhg, our guide, was awesome with perfect English. The tour covered all of the top places in Sarajevo, and some more off-the-beaten-track places. Tadhg gave a perfect balance of history to all of the spots we went to, and his recommendations for places to eat / drink were excellent.

I am a history nerd so I would have liked a bit more in depth information and did feel like my previous knowledge helped fill in any small gaps, but for an intro tour I think it was perfect. we were lucky enough to get Kristijan as our guide and he was brilliant. he picked us up exactly when he said he would, took photos for us, was extremely kind and supportive to my mother who has difficulty walking long, was funny, and somehow stayed awake to drive the whole day! we had gorgeous weather, thank goodness (after a long winter we were told!). we had time to walk around Old Town in Mostar, go on a boat trip (€10 for about 10 mins), and have lunch at Labirint (a solid recommendation from Kris). stunning views the entire day so make sure you take a power bank if you're planning on taking photos on your phone because you will probably be taking photos non-stop. one of our favourite days of the holiday by far. thank you, Kristijan :)

I was picked up by Bojan on time, he was very warm - a lovely welcome to the country. I was travelling by myself so he walked me all the way to my airbnb as it was a pedestrian street and the car could not go there. From what I can tell, the tour company itself is lovely as I did book other things with them.

Wonderful experience and service

Tarik was excellent with knowledge about Bosnian history and culture, and offer brilliant service. I was really lucky as I was the only customer that day in winter season even though some of the programme isn’t open but Tarik was quite flexible and accommodating, it was a great experience in Bosnia. A Personal Account of the Bosnian War

Probably the best history lesson of our lives. Thanks Adis. A very personal explanation of how normal life became a war and then how the ingenuity and determination of the people succeeded in defending the city until the Dayton Agreement was signed. The stops along the minibus tour included all of the major war sites but they were really enhanced by a veteran explaining the small details associated with them. We’re old enough to remember watching the war on TV news, and Adis pointed out the hotel where the TV reporters stayed. Highly recommended.

Uncovering Herzegovina's beautiful nature and its history

This was a full day trip that lasted 12 hours and during this trip we (my daughter and I) rediscovered Herzegovina's beautiful nature and its history. The trip is well organized by people that are passionate and fully dedicated to making the Bosnian visitors happy. The tour guide is full of knowledge about the history, culture and always eager to answer the questions. Since I was with my daughter, I was also concerned with the safety of the trip when it comes to driving and I was pleasantly surprised to see that the driver took his job seriously without getting us in any risky situation. Kudos to the overall team and looking forward to booking a new visit next time.
