Discover two of France’s most picturesque historical villages on a private day trip to Perouges and Annecy from Lyon. You’ll skip the hassle of car hire and navigation as your private driver transports you between attractions, leaving you to sit back and soak up the natural and medieval scenery.

The day begins around 9.00am at your hotel, and we'll be travelling to the Beaujolais region to meet two wineries in the morning, where we'll visit the vines, the cellars and taste the wines (including 20th-century wine). At around 1 o'clock in the afternoon, we'll head to a magnificent spot in the heights of the Beaujolais region for a picnic. This moment will be dedicated to a tasting of wines from the 1960s to the present day, to cover the spectrum of the Gamay grape variety through time. The wines will be accompanied by a dozen cheeses and seasonal gourmet products. Last tasting of the day after lunch and before returning to Lyon. As a wine merchant, WSET3 graduate, I'll be joining you on the day to talk about French wine and its specific characteristics. A private chauffeur will drive us throughout the day. An experience honed to bring out the best in the Northern Rhône Valley. Winemakers chosen for their fine work, exceptional locations to offer you emotions and work on all your senses. Private wine tour with 2 visits of wineries in the morning. We'll be tasting 5 to 6 wines from each winery and discovering the region's great wines, from Côte-Rotie to Hermitage for the red Syrah wines to the white Condrieu and Saint-Joseph made from Roussanne and Viognier grapes. The rest of the day will be dedicated to a private lunch/afternoon tasting and masterclass of great Rhône Valley wines in a 19th century villa with swimming pool.
