Excellent tour
Full day in the park, good lunch stop, saw lots of different animals. Our guide Graeme was very knowledgeable, pointing out lots of interesting plants and birds not just the land animals. Would thoroughly recommend this tour which we thought was good value for money.

Our first time in the bush,,,,not the last though!
This is a half day tour which started at 08.45. We were picked by Stephen in Summerstrand. He took us to the Addo Elephant Park where we first had a sighting of a giraffe. The elephant sightings are superb, but I definitely recommend you take an organised tour rather than a self drive, We saw one vehicle with some expensive looking damage from and elephant lunge! Stephen looked after us e trembly well and set up luck for us in one of the picnic areas It was a fabulous day and very good value.

See the Big 5 on a great tour
This game reserve safari proved to be an exciting and educational experience. Traveling in small groups aboard 4x4 vehicles allowed us to navigate the natural terrain with ease and observe wildlife in its authentic environment. Our guide was exceptionally knowledgeable about the ecosystem, animal behavior, and conservation efforts, and he worked diligently to position us for close-up views of as many species as possible.
Although I was slightly disappointed not to encounter an elephant on this particular outing, we were fortunate enough to see the remainder of the famed “Big Five,” as well as many other remarkable animals. One of the highlights of the day was spotting a baby rhinoceros—an unforgettable moment and a rare privilege considering the species’ vulnerable status.
Because this was a full-day excursion, the company provided a simple but satisfying lunch, including sandwiches, chips, chocolate bars, and drinks. I captured numerous photos throughout the day, many of which I will cherish as lifelong memories. Overall, the experience was well-organized, immersive, and rewarding. I would not hesitate to join this tour again.

Fantastic day out
Our driver Jonathan was very good. Very informative. We managed to see 3 of the big 5 and plenty of other wildlife as well. Jonathan made sure we had plenty of opportunities to photograph all the animals we saw, even turning around so people on both sides of the vehicle had good views.

Great Park, Great Guide, Great Overall Experience.
Great Experience. Lots of animals in a massive 164,000 hectares (404,851 acres) park. The food at the visitors center is surprisingly good and also very inexpensive. Lots of interesting dishes to choose from.
We say 4 of the big 5. Elephants, African Buffalo, Lions, Rhinoceros. We didn't see leopards but saw many other animals and birds.

Thanks Gary
For us it was kind of complicated to get a overview about the pick up station or the meeting points and the duration of the trip.
But as soon as we booked it, the communication was quick und very good.
At least our guide Gary (best man!) was a wonderful Tour Guide, gave us lots of very interesting informations and was just very friendly. He tried his absolutly best to create a unforgettable day for us! It was incredible!! Thanks Gary!

Great guide Joel, would highly recommend
Great experience & our guide Joel made the day.
I spent ages looking at options & reviews before choosing this one & was nervous about whether I’d chosen the right one with not knowing the specific vehicle type, guides knowledge etc.
Joel runs this family business & made the tour fun, gave us lots of information & provided a superb African Braai lunch which added to the whole experience. He was obviously passionate about his role & keen for us to have a great experience. He has years of experience & seemed to be known to other guides in the park who share information about the animals positions during the day. Unfortunately there was a lot of rain when we visited which meant we saw less ‘top 5’, but we still saw elephants up close, zebras, warthogs, jackals, ostriches, kudus & dung beetles - which we learnt about & now have respect for these small creatures!
Limited reviews for this tour as people seem to book through other routes (one of my concerns). Quick response when I messaged via what’s app on the tour providers website - African sightings adventures tour & safaris.
We drove round in an open style jeep which held 9 of us comfortably (he says he has up to 14 but usually hires another guide so there’s no more than 10 in one vehicle), again I was concerned about an open vehicle with having kids with us, we had the canvas windows down only, which gave great visibility & Joel provided ponchos & blankets as it was raining. It was a better experience as we had a high seat & an open view- would definitely recommend this experience over a closed car. Also given binoculars to share, we were amazed that Joel spotted animals so far into the distance which he guided us to view.
Long review but as I was so conflicted about choosing I wanted to write a full review!

Winter time safari experience
Steven was our guide and wow, such a charismatic person! To start, he was right on time, he was always taking good care of us. Lunch was FANTASTIC! Grilled right there with elephants and zebras on the background. We saw a good variety of animals, and Steven was very aimed to find the right spot for us to look at them as close as possible. We came during winter time and its highly recommended since there is no much crowd around! Glad to see all ADDO facilities inside the park are in excellent conditions!! This is a must do activity to experience while in Port Elizabeth!!
