PaddleBoarding
It was a lot of fun. We chose the paddle boards over the kayaks. I recommend bringing water sunscreen and a snack. My 12-year-old got pretty hungry about halfway through after viewing the paddle board for an hour and the rest of her trip would’ve been better with little food.

Estero Bay kayaking
MCE was great. Already had everything ready when we showed up. Gave us a laminated map and explained different options for us. Very helpful and nice crew. We didn't see much wildlife, but I think that was due more to the time of day. I would definitely consider renting kayaks from this company again. It was a pleasure.

Kayaking the Mangroves
Great experience kayaking through the mangroves. Liked that it was a small group (12). Lead by two guides with degrees in related fields, very knowledgable. Stay close to the lead guide as it can sometimes be difficult to hear since her back is towards the group. Though we would stop to gather several times for information. Wind was against us returning and one guide towed a young girl who was struggling slightly, very helpful! Saw some birds, large horse conch, too early for manatees, no dolphins. Suggestions: bring a towel and change of clothes if you’re headed somewhere else after the tour. Public restroom available at the car park. It’s probably a good idea to have experience kayaking as you need to navigates some “close” tunnels.

Kayaking in the mangroves
There were three of us and we had requested individual kayaks, which your site stated they were, however, when we met Chris he said I have an order for one single and one double. We explained we were all expecting our own kayak and he had enough kayaks on the trailer to accommodate our request, however, he kind of ignored the fact that we told him we were expecting that and pulled off a two person and a single. Chris was a very good guide, but we really were not happy with that situation.

Foot Pedaled Kayaks are the only way to travel!
Guide was excellent and kayaks with foot pedals are the way to go. Easy ride, lots of great wildlife shared with us and discovered on this trip. Would highly recommend a guided tour with our very dedicated and keen eyed Cuban - R. He was articulate, passionate and clearly loves his job. Once you use the foot pedaled Kayaks you will never go back! The pictures taken and shared during the outing are also a treat to have as a memory.

Fantastic Kayak Excursion!
If you’re looking to get out for some light exercise while learning about the SW Florida exosystem, look no further than Clear Kayak Guided Eco Tour in Naples. You’ll learn about the crucial mangrove forests, and possibly see native wildlife like dolphins and manatees. Our guide Tommy was the perfect mix of fun and educational. He ensured our safety and was clearly very passionate about the flora and fauna in SW Florida. Highly recommend!

Tunneling for Family Fun
Great fun. After about .25 mile paddle, we gathered to listen to Chandler’s first of many ‘talking’ moments. After a bit of history, some wildlife tips and lots of jokes, we headed out to our first entry point into the red Mangroves.
Everyone was properly outfitted and many including myself were glad for the opportunity to grab a wet bag. First bird sightings included spoonbills, osprey (with his/her lunch, and a great blue heron. Further into the mangroves we didn’t see many birds at all, we were all looking for the spider like crabs that we were warned about.
All together, we skimmed through maybe 4 or 5 Mangrove tunnels with stops for photos and informative banter. We lingered a bit on a sand bank where a ski-doo had been swallowed up several years ago. With the open water to the west some brave folks added to their trip mileage as others took a bit of a walk about ion the shallow waters. More pics when Chandler grabbed up a huge conch to show it to us up close and personal. Cool.
As promised there were group pics to be taken. This was fun as we had to focus our kayaking skills to both stay out of someone else’s group and keep our own sorted. Photo bombing, while allowed and even encouraged, was difficult to say the least.
The way back was against the current, the dedicated intrepid ones kept a lively pace. Must have sounded like fun as a young dolphin joined us for about 100 yards. More pics.
After landing, all disembarked safely and we gathered to share stories as Chandler dropped all the pics to everyone who wanted them.
Highly recommend and appreciate this tour. Have suggested more in depth info on Florida’s great conservation and reclamation projects. Looking forward to mangrove tunneling again. Lots to learn and a great intro to the Rookery.

Great time in the mangroves!
We had a great time kayaking in the Mangroves! I think our tour guide name was Kyle (but I'm not sure) and he was excellent! He made the trip very fun and educational. Loved seeing the fish, sharks, birds and especially the manatees! Highly recommend bringing polarized sunglasses as it is hard to see in the water otherwise. I highly recommend this tour!

Not seeing something you are looking for?
Get up close to southwest Florida’s nature and wildlife, exploring hard-to-reach places by kayak. Naples kayaking tours let you paddle through the region’s famous mangrove tunnels, looking for creatures like manatees, alligators, and a variety of birds. Or, paddle across clear and calm waters at sunset in search of dolphins. Some tours offer Hobie kayaks that let you pedal with your feet instead of paddling (to give your arms a rest), while others have clear kayaks equipped with LED lights that let you see through to the water below.
