During personal tastings there will be many opportunities to swirl, sniff and slurp RIESLING ( the star of the show ) in all its glory and variations from bone DRY to late harvest Riesling coming from the different soils of blue, red and grey quartzite slate. We might even find some special German Pinot Spätburgunder and cracking Sparkling along the way. I believe in open minds and open wines. It can be that more thirsty winelovers will want to join. Around late morning, it’s time to “line up” – by boat you’ll be heading to a beautiful Moselle town in around 20 minutes. After a short walk you can enjoy a hearty snack with ham, salami, cheese, tomato mozzarella, potato salad and bread. Well fortified, you start with a winemaker on a wagon ride through the vineyards. Enjoy magnificent views of the Moselle Valley and taste about five wines directly on board. Along the way you will learn interesting facts about wine growing. After the return journey by tarpaulin car, the ship will take you back to Bernkastel relaxed.

Experience a picture book landscape by bike along the Moselle. In Bernkastel-Kues, bicycles are available in the morning. The route takes you to Traben. On the way, the wine shop has put together a picnic basket with delicious delicacies and drinks. Enjoy nature directly on the Moselle. In the afternoon, the boat will take you back to Bernkastel with your bike and a lock passage from Traben. Here you will visit the wine shop in the Wine Cultural Centre. There is also 1 glass of wine of your choice to taste and 1 bottle of wine per person as a gift. There is certainly still time to explore Bernkastel itself. Stroll through the beautiful shopping town with its many cafes and wine bars.
