It’s wild and rugged, filled with the sort of wildlife you’ve seen in movies and on TV. The great stretches of Tsavo East’s dusty plain are home to lion, elephant, buffalo, giraffe, and zebra. These are just a few of the many species of wildlife and birds you’ll be tracking on this 2-day short but fun safari adventure. This park is big – 11,747 sq. km (4535 sq. mi) – but the foliage is sparse allowing for rich wildlife spotting. And the reserve’s watering holes along the Galana River are a natural draw for big and small game.

Tsavo is situated between Nairobi and Mombasa and made up of two separate parks, Tsavo East and West. This 3-day safari will take you to visit both parks. Tsavo, opened in 1948, is the oldest park in Kenya. The slightly larger Tsavo East is generally flat, with dry plains and the Galana River. Tsavo West National Park is wetter and more mountainous. Tsavo East is home to most of the larger mammals, vast herds of dust –red elephant, Rhino, buffalo, lion, leopard, pods of hippo, crocodile, waterbucks, Lesser Kudu, Gerenuk and Hirola as well as a variety of bird species.
