The pace was good -- an overnight trip is definitely the best way to see what is left of Cái Răng floating market. The hotel was stunning -- beautifully landscaped, strong AC, and fun outdoor bathroom. The guide, Safa, was very knowledgeable and generous.

Mekong Cai Be Floating Market Tour
Luc was prompt, very knowledgeable and very courteous. He provided a lot of information on the history of Vietnam. We got to learn how to make spring rolls and crispy pancakes, which was then part of our lunch.
At one point, because our boat was stuck in water hyacinths, he helped to free the boat.
Luc told us of activities we may be interested in while we were in Ho Chi Minh City. He was exceptionally kind and we highly recommend him as a guide for others.

Perfect escape to the Mekong
We loved the tour with Tri, he was great at English and telling us lots of good information about the Mekong Delta. The Bamboo Eco Lodge was incredible! We ate so much good food and met so many nice people of the region.

Thank you to all the Mekong locals who made this trip an experience to remember.
Although this was a guided tour, with Abe, there were so many people along the way who helped make the trip memorable. It was a pleasure to see families at work in their businesses, to see how local food was made. At lunchtime, we made our own Ban Xeo (pancakes), which I must say tasted all the better for being home made ;)
Overall, it was a pleasant break from the City.

Definitely worth it
I had Mark as my tour guide and he was incredible. He had a great attitude towards his work and came off as genuinely interested in what he was showing and ensuring his guests had the best time. The tour itinerary itself was also great, and gave great insight into Vietnam. Definitely recommend anyone to book this tour if they’re down south.

Great family trip and away from the big city
We had a great trip! Tri was our guide and he and driver did an excellent job in taking care of us and providing plenty to eat, drink and see.
We are a family of four with teenagers and it was perfectly catered for everyone. We enjoyed the temple visit, noodle making, cooking class and many boat tours and the floating market to name a few things. We stayed in the Bamboo Eco Lodge which had a great pool surrounded by lush greenery.
Would highly recommend this tour.

Great day out
Loved the boat ride and the smaller boat round the smaller rivers. Very interesting seeing toffee and rice paper made in the more manual way. Can't say I enjoyed the lunch but that was a personal choice as I'm not keen on fish. Great spread of food for those who do enjoy fish.
Guide was great, very informative and helpful.

Great experience!
The tour was wonderful! Everything was well organized and we experienced and saw a lot and got an insight into the culture and way of life of the country and its people. Our guide, Quí, took a lot of time to explain everything and patiently answered all our questions.
Highly recommended!

When to visit

Because of the combination of roads and waterways, the Mekong Delta is a difficult place to visit independently. If you want to see the market, opt for a tour that includes transportation, including boats to take you out onto the water.
There are several hotels and restaurants in Cái Bè, most of which offer free Wi-Fi.
There are a couple of ATMs in the village, but they can malfunction; bring cash with you to avoid any problems.
