Simien Mountains - "Chess pieces of the gods" The Simien Mountains present the most dramatic mountain scenery in Africa: "the chess pieces of the Gods" as one writer described them, tower over precipitous gorges, river valleys and plains stretching all the way to Eritrea.

Spend the day in Simien Mountains National Park, trekking through the foothills and admiring scenery on this full-day tour from Gondar. Keep your eyes peeled for wildlife, including gelada baboons, bushbuck, rock hyrax, and, if you’re lucky, even leopards. Climb up to viewpoints that let you take in the sight of the towering Jinbar Waterfall. Hotel pickup is included for added convenience.
