Top Galle Surfing Lessons

Most surf lessons in Weligama give you 60 minutes session (water + theory). We give you a full 2-hour session — no rushing, no cutting the session short. That extra time is the difference between standing up once and actually surfing. Sessions start at 6:30 AM when the bay is at its calmest and most uncrowded. You get the best conditions of the day, every single morning. Groups are capped at 6 guests so every student gets real attention. Your instructor is in the water with you throughout — not watching from the beach. You get immediate feedback on every wave, every pop-up, every turn. Our lesson bundles let you build on each session day by day. The 5-lesson bundle is the fastest route from never having surfed to riding waves on your own. And if you want to go further, our all-inclusive surf camp adds accommodation, all meals, evening activities and a full week programme — the most complete surf experience in Weligama.

You Become the Street-Food Chef: Unlike a standard cooking class where you chop veggies and stir a pot, making Kottu requires a theatrical, rhythmic technique. You’ll get to wield the traditional twin metal blades on a scorching hot griddle, smashing and chopping the roti to that signature sizzling soundtrack. It’s half cooking, half percussion performance! Live Customization at the Griddle: You won't just follow a recipe. You'll choose your own protein (spicy chicken, rich beef, fresh seafood, or hearty veg/egg) and dial in your preferred spice level right at the hot plate. You are in full control of your perfect plate. The Ultimate Spicy-Cold Pairing: Kottu is bold, savory, and packs a punch. We don't just serve dinner; we teach you why a crisp, cold local brew (like a Lion Lager or robust Lion Stout) is the absolute perfect antidote. The contrast of the hot, crispy roti with the ice-cold beer creates a flavor explosion you simply can't get at a restaurant.
