You will start off by meeting ‘Nelson’ our ‘Grand Old Man of the Sea’ and from there we will wind our way through the beautiful harbour town, the hidden backstreets, the quay side and the wonderful bridge ending up at our magnificent beachfront and ‘Banjo Pier’ Along the way learn about the history of the town, its building and its people. See the hidden streets and buildings that you wouldn’t normally see, and hear stories fo the characters that have worked here . The tour is fun, light and informative, and you are free to ask me questions to make the most of your experience. I will recommend local places to eat and drink, and know the area well. I have spent lots of time in Port Isaac, including listening to the Fisherman's Friends singing sea shanties with a beer in hand. I will take you on a walking tour of the village, including the locations used in filming both "Doc Martin" and the Fisherman's Friends movies. See Doc Martin's surgery, Mrs. Tishall's pharmacy, Louisa's school and cottage, Bert's restaurant, and all the other key locations. Visit the village pub used in both shows - maybe even stop for lunch? Stand on the Platt where the shanties are sung. We also visit the tiny coves at Port Quin and Port Gaverne, which also feature as filming locations. The tour can be extended to a full day on request to include visits to places such as Tintagel, Boscastle or Bodmin Moor.
