Day Trips from Coban to Lanquín Caves (Grutas de Lanquín)

Considered one of the most popular places to visit in Guatemala, Semuc Champey, located in Las Verapaces, is a lush, tropical park with jungle views, caves, and swimming holes. On this private all-day tour from Coban, get a bird’s-eye view of the natural turquoise pools of the park then take a refreshing dip in the water. Following that, explore Lanquin Caves, which the Mayans used to believe were the entrance to the infraworld (a place that exists parallel to your own). Even now, some Mayan ceremonies still take place there.
