Top Chongqing Classes & Workshops

The only calligraphy experience where you learn from a local master while watching Chongqing’s iconic Liziba train glide through the building—then take home your own handmade fan. This is the best way to experience Chinese culture, connect with locals, and learn the beauty of the language and its art.

Spend an afternoon with a local shop owner exploring an authentic Chongqing market. With English commentary throughout, discover different chilies, spices, and the everyday food culture of Chongqing, and experience the city’s true local atmosphere like a local. Back in the shop, make three Chongqing dishes by hand: Panda Bingfen (Panda Ice Jelly), Tomato Meatball Mini Hot Pot, and Chongqing Xiaomian. From all-natural ice jelly with vegetable juice and hand-rolled meatballs to stir-fried noodle sauce, you control the spice level and enjoy the fun of hands-on cooking. After cooking, sit down in the shop and enjoy the meal you made—a wonderful afternoon full of authentic Chongqing flavors. Ideal for food lovers, families, friends, and travelers from home and abroad who want an in-depth experience of local Chongqing culture.
