We will make a first stop in a small rural bakery, beautifully landscaped by its Mexican owners, to enjoy a delicious Mexican bread and a succulent cup of coffee. Then, we will head to Hacienda Jalisco, one of San Sebastián's old silver mines, where you will have the chance to see some mining facilities. Then, arriving in San Sebastian, we will visit the Quinta Maria, where is harvested and produces organic coffee. We will walk in the plantation, taste it will also be able to buy the various biological products offered on the spot. After our visit of the plantation, we will walk to a local restaurant where we will enjoy a meal and typically Mexican. Afterwards, we will head to the Main Square to visit the City Hall. We will also visit the museum of Doña Conchita, property of one of the oldest and most important families of the village.

Our first stop is a cacao garden, where you’ll learn about the cacao plant, its origins, legends, and traditional uses, followed by a tasting of tropical fruit and chocolate flavors. On the way, we’ll visit a classic roadside fruit stand, once an essential stop on the long road between Tepic, Guadalajara, and Puerto Vallarta. Here, you’ll taste seasonal fruits and Mexican sweets. In Sayulita, we’ll dive into local flavors: a crispy red-tortilla birria taco, a Nayarit-style marlin empanada, and refreshing aguas frescas before visiting Mary’s, a favorite small restaurant known for seafood tacos with bold local flavor. We’ll walk through colorful streets and the artisan market, exploring Sayulita’s art, beach vibe, and connection to Wixárika culture. To finish, enjoy free time to shop, relax, or stroll by the beach before returning to Puerto Vallarta.

Celebrate Día de Muertos through an authentic cultural journey co-hosted by Luna Tours & Hiking and Planeta Cacao, available exclusively from October 28 to November 7. This small-group experience offers a deep, genuine connection to one of Mexico’s most sacred traditions. At Planeta Cacao, you will help build a traditional ofrenda by placing a photo of your loved ones among marigolds and candles. Keep going south passing by the old part of town / romantique zone as well as conchas chinas residential area. brief stop at: LOS ARCOS DE MISMALOYA to take some pictures and then go all the way down south to a nice restaurant for lunch and tequila tasting.
