We depart early to explore both sides of the Gambia (north and south),we drive cross to the North Bank to visit the Wassu Stone Circles, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Drive to Kuntaur to board our boat to explore the River Gambia, a 2-3hrs relaxing cruise. Be on the lookout for Hippos, Crocodiles, Baboons, Monkeys, colourful birds and Chimpanzees. We will be cruising around River Gambia National Park (RGNP) before returning back to Kuntaur for our evening drive to Janjangbureh. (Please note; Chimpanzees are kept on islands and visitors are only allowed to sail around the islands) The next morning, we exploring the Island on foot and depart after lunch towards our hotel On the return journey, if it falls on a market day we would stop to visit a ‘Lumo’ (our weekly African open flea market) an opportunity to witness traditional bartering in this unique setting.Proceed to visit one of the local family compounds to learn about the traditional way of life

Visiting one of Gambia's Eco Forest in a beautiful settings. Explore the creek in a canoe (30 -40 mins) and roam the palm forest for 1 or 1 1/2 hrs with chances of wildlife sightings. Meet with some locals who use the forest to practice their trade or culture, such as the fortune teller and the palm wine tapper. This is a full day* which sees you travel by land rover to the Banjul to Barra ferry crossing. This, in itself, is quite an experience as you join the hustle and bustle of everyday life on the crossing to Senegal. Back on the land rover and on to the Fathala wildlife reserve where you get to see rhinoceros, giraffe, zebra, antelope and ostrich. The trip starts early as we go to Banjul and cross the Gambia river with a ferry. In the reserve we will be driving around with the car. This is a good way to come close to the animals. The visitor center also houses a cafeteria for refreshments. You can also do a Lion walk where you can walk with the lions. Please note that the lion walk is not included in the price but can be paid on site. You will have to be over 150 cm to do the lion walk.
