This private shore excursion from Aomori Port mixes ancient Jomon heritage, an impressive modern Great Buddha, and Aomori’s signature culture and apple treats. Choose either the Sannai-Maruyama Jomon Site (archaeology and reconstructed dwellings) or the Aomori Museum of Art (iconic contemporary works). Then visit Seiryu-ji Temple to see the Showa Daibutsu, one of Japan’s largest seated bronze Buddhas. Finish at Nebuta Museum WA RASSE and the nearby A-FACTORY for Nebuta festival highlights and an “apple sweets dash” shopping break before returning to the port.

This private shore excursion from Aomori Port takes you to northern Japan’s iconic nature duo: Oirase Gorge and Lake Towada. Walk along a crystal-clear mountain stream framed by mossy rocks and waterfalls, then reach Nenokuchi at the gorge’s exit. After lunch near the lake, enjoy classic viewpoints around Lake Towada, including the famous Statue of the Maiden, before returning to the port.
