At 10:00 AM, hotel pick-up by comfortable jeep or SUV. Drive to Huns Ethno Village takes about 1 hour. From 11:00 AM to 2:30 PM: cultural program including the traditional “Shashu” ceremony, baursak-making masterclass with tea, introduction to nomadic life, “Besikke Salu” ceremony, equestrian show, and photos with horses (short queues possible). Buffet lunch with traditional Kazakh dishes, followed by an archery masterclass. Then transfer to Issyk Lake (about 1 hour). Walk along the shore and optional light trekking. Our tour programme is really unique, during one day guests visit 6 interesting, different locations in the canyons of Charyn River. In addition to walking inside the popular Castle Valley Canyon (Location # 1), we offer guests a visit to the observation deck, the view from the top of Castle Valley Canyon is a breathtaking view of the entire canyon (Location # 2). The Charyn canyon is a breathtaking place in the Tian-Shan mountain branches, which origin dates back to the Neogene period. The unique monument of nature, which is often compared to the Grand Canyon in the United States, is located 200 kilometers from the city of Almaty. The landscape of the area is systematically changing, thanks to which the territory of the canyon was chosen by many representatives of flora and fauna, including individuals listed in the Red Book of Kazakhstan. The most prominent and memorable places of the great gorge are the Valley of Castles, the Ash and Turang Groves, the Charyn River. The Eco Park operates on the territory of the Charyn canyon, where visitors can visit the mini-zoo, go on an off-road safari ride and quad bike, try a traditional Saka bath and have a tasty lunch at local cafes.

08:00 – Departure from Almaty A comfortable 4x4 vehicle will pick you up from your hotel. The drive to the Assy Plateau takes approximately 2.5–3 hours, depending on road conditions. Assy Plateau Located at an altitude of 2,500–3,000 meters above sea level, the plateau is known for its endless alpine meadows, panoramic views, and nomadic pastures. During the visit: 1. stops at scenic viewpoints 2. a walk across the plateau 3. photo stops 4. visit to the Assy-Turgen Observatory (outside view) 5. picnic or free time in nature (pick up own food) After exploring the plateau, transfer to Issyk Lake (about 1–1.5 hours). Issyk Lake A beautiful mountain lake in the Ile-Alatau National Park, surrounded by pine forests and rocky cliffs. Take a guided climb in the mountains around Almaty. Depending on your needs and ability level we can choose you an easy climb or more challenging adventure. First day is an approach day. Depending on your objective we’ll head to the mountains to spend night in tent or in cozy dormitory of Tuyuk-Su alpine camp. In the morning of the second day we will wake up early to go even higher and do some climbing either it’s easy scrambling to the nearest peak, or more challenging route to the one above 4000m.
