Not snorkeling at Mnemba Atoll

We were picked up at our hotel and returned complimentary. The things the tour stayed they included were not there —bottled water, seafood lunch was picked up on the way and in a gunnysacks, 3 broken life jackets for 7 of us, old wooden boat with rusty ladder, taken to far side of Mnemba Island which is owned privately and suggested we get in beside about 30 other similar boats. At this point we refused to continue the trip and requested a full refund. Viator was very helpful in getting this for us. This is our only poor experience with a Viator tour we’ve booked.

Mody was super thoughtful and fun to be around. He made us feel welcome, made sure we got enough pictures and the vibes where there throughout the experience with Afro-beat and Amapiano playing through his speaker. He gave us an authentic experience with the locals preparing food for us for lunch. Our vegan diet was no problem at all and the lunch was delicious. He took his time to show us around Nungwi beach after the snorkelling experience which was greatly appreciated. Overall would a 100% recommend taking a tour with Mody.

Excellent trip to the atol

Great experience especially for the price. Having transportation included was huge benefit since we were all the way across the island. I personally didn't care for the dolphin 'encounter' since the many speed boats were chasing them down and boxing them in and tourist jumped in the water after them. It was clear many people enjoyed it though and we were able to move on when we asked.

Everything was great!! Snorkling on Mnemba Atoll is very nice, and our guide was here to help us with everything and to answer all our questions. After snorkling we have a nice lunch on the beach. I really recommend Mody Zanzibar Tours!

Bonita excursión de snorkelling, en la cual tuvimos la oportunidad de ver delfines y nadar con ellos. No pudimos ir al banco de arena, por estar la marea alta pero Mody, nuestro guía nos preparó una enorme y rica bandeja de frutas frescas q tomamos en la barquita y nos llevo a comer una barbacoa de marisco. Fue atento con nosotros y pasamos muy buen día.
