We got to experience first hand the jungle, a very nice walk upstream a river, the beautiful avocat waterfall and the ocean. Beautiful views and and unforgettable experience. Manny thanks to our guide Dominic who was very friendly and professional.

This was a fun experience! Dominic did a great job taking us around Trinidad. We did this excursion while on a cruise and was back to the ship with plenty of time to spare. Going to the waterfall requires water shoes, as the rocks are slippery. It took almost 2 hours to drive to the waterfall from the port.

Brilliant (not a cruise line tour) to Avocat Waterfall and beach

We travelled from a cruise ship. Dominic met us at the port and reassured us that getting back to the ship was not a problem and we could tailor the day to suit our requirements. He was a fabulous guide, stopping at points of interest along the way to our destination - the Avocat Waterfall. This was an amazing experience, a hike through a crystal clear river to the waterfall - we opted to swim the last few metres but you could walk if you were not comfortable swimming. The waterfall was serene and uncrowded and a fabulous experience. After that we stopped at Uncle Sam’s at Maracas Beach for a Bake and Shark which was absolutely delicious. We then opted to buy 2 loungers and umbrella on Maracas beach and spent time sunbathing and swimming in the sea. Dominic was an awesome guide and made sure we had a perfect day.

This was a great adventure! Dominic was our tour guide & he was amazing. We took our time and thoroughly enjoyed the sights. Make sure to wear water shoes! There is a portion of the hike to the water fall where you can swim across a path just before you get to the falls. Do it! It’s an easy swim. This was our favorite thing that we did.

I have always wanted to swim by a waterfall, it lived up to expectations .

We had a great time, our own personal trip for three. Dominic was very informative, friendly and empathetic to our needs. The waterfall was about a 20min easy hike, sometimes through shallow water, just be careful where you step as some stones are slippy. A great personal service, highly recommend.

I don’t know where to begin by far one of my favorite memories from our trip to Trinidad. From the very beginning of our tour Dominic showed professionalism, patience and kindness. He made sure to confirm our tour the day before and give us a detailed list of what to expect and what to bring with us. The views and stops along the way were breathtaking. Dominic was very patient with one of my friends who was extremely anxious about this hike, he made sure to stay with her the whole time and when things became difficult for her and quickly found an alternative way for her to get across. We laughed so much this day a memory my friends and I will cherish forever , we even all got matching tattoos of the mountain . Perfect way to end our trip, was trying the delicious Bake and Shark while enjoying Maracus beach !!! 10/10 experience! by the end of this tour we didn’t feel like Dominic was our tour guide but more like our friend. Thank you for an incredible experience and hope to come back and visit again!!

We had a great time with our guide Dominic. He was very adaptable for pickup and a very knowledgeable guide. Pick up and drop off was very convenient and comfortable. We didn't feel rushed and really enjoyed all the beautiful sights along the way to and from the Avocat Waterfall.

Great hike, Even older people like us can manage it and it’s not too difficult. The tour guide was very in tune to making sure that everyone was safe and having a good time she went out of her way to do anything she could to make it fun for us.

Every part of this adventure was AMAZING! We got to stop a few times on the drive to the waterfall to take pics, the hike to the waterfall was moderately easy. The waterfall was breathtaking. Maracas beach was fun too! Even got a bake & shark for lunch, which was my fave local food. The best part of our adventure was Dominic. He was such a friendly guide, who knows EVERYTHING about Trinidad and was kind enough to teach us so much. I highly recommend booking this excursion.

The drive to the waterfall and beach is fairly lengthy but sooo worth it when you get there! For the waterfall hike you need good water shoes - it’s about 20 minutes hiking through the forest and crossing the water multiple times. We were able to swim in the waterfall for as long as we wanted and were the only ones there. Our guide, Dominic, was awesome and took some fantastic photos for us. The waterfall is gorgeous and definitely an excursion we’ll remember for years to come. The beach is beautiful and not too busy. You can rent chairs (Dominic will negotiate a deal for you!) or just enjoy the gorgeous white sandy beach. We were also able to buy a Bake and Shark - delicious! Highly recommend this tour!

Avocat Waterfall - A Must!

I'm a born Trini who migrated to the US too soon before being able to indulge in all it's beauty. Came back with my 13-year old son during the Xmas / New Year season to reconnect with family and share in some new experiences. Dominic, as our guide was wonderful and so thankfully accommodating. Within 30 mins of booking the tour, he reached out, introduced himself and went into all details of what we can and should expect for our mini adventure. During the tour, he engaged us with details about the island's history, topography and culture. The hike to Avocat Waterfall was just challenging enough to feel deserving of its reward. The waterfall itself was therapeutic. Wrapping up the day with bake & shark at Uncle Sam's located across from Maracas Beach was just what our appetites needed. All in all, a day well spent and worth every penny. Thank you Los Exploradorestt Tours and thank you Dominic for the memory you have helped create for myself and my son.

Avocat Waterfalls experience

This experience was amazing from start to finish. The tour Guide Dominiq is the Man. He was very informative about the rich history and culture and provided information thru out the journey. The scenes and views are truly incredible. The Tour and hike to Avocat Waterfalls is most exciting. The water is crystal clear cool and refreshing. After walking under the waterfall and jumping in the fall, it gives a feeling of true rejuvenation, rebirth even. The waterfall feels cleansing and uplifting. I feel like awhole new person. Upon leaving the waterfall hike we went to the fountain of youth, were you are able to drink and bathe from a nonstop water fountain streaming down from the peak of the mountain. This water is as natural and as pure as it gets filled with essential minerals, the fountain is known to promote healthy glowing skin, long Shiney hair and is said to remove years of aging. I drank from the fountain and the water tasted so soft and delicious. After such a high off of nature we went to maracas Beach to enjoy the blue warm waters. The tides were somewhat rough which created some fun waves to ride. Of course after enjoying the scenery and the feeling of paradise which Maracas Beach gives we went to taste the famous Bake and Shark. I had the bake King fish sandwich. That sandwich, the bread, the toppings and the sauces was so delicious and filling. If you ever visit Trinidad and Tobago do yourself a favor and book your tours with @losexploradorestt This Brother will make sure you have a most magnificent time.

Dominic was amazing. Very knowledgeable and quite the comedian. He has a wonderful personality which made this tour very enjoyable. The hike to the waterfall is not bad at all. He was very patient with me. We went early and I had the whole waterfall to myself. Very peaceful. We also visited Maracas Bay and Maracas beach. It was so beautiful. I ate local cuisine such as Bake and Shark and Doubles. I would definitely do this tour again!

Awesome tour in POS

Seriously, a must do if you're in Trinidad. The guide, Dominique (excuse my spelling if wrong) and his co-guide (my tour his wife) came on time to pick me up in POS. It turned out I was the only one but they completed the tour fully as if it was multiple people. They didn't cut corners. Besides the history you receive as you drive we did lookout, the waterfalls, basin at the top (weather and pathway permitted if clear), and stops to take picture. Co-guide turned out to be my co-photographer as well. I loved the tour and thank you guys. I will do it again next rime I'm here solo or with others. I tried to upload pics but the system wouldn't let me. Really awesome place and company to tour with.
