Tal was very knowledgeable ,a wonderful 3 hours spent learning about the local culture and of course the food !! Do arrive with an empty stomach . Tal escorts you to the most wonderful food and drink vendors and is obviously well respected by those same vendors which sums her up. She was also very accommodating when we had to change the date due to illness.
We can't recommend Tal enough.

I am impressed with the organization and detail of this tour! Tal did a great job describing the history of the Yemenite Quarter and treating us to food around the market. She is constantly saying "hi" to vendors and shoppers in the market, which is evidence of the great relationships she has built with them. I felt like I was led by a local rather than given a "corporate" version of a food tour (which I have experienced in other cities).

Our tour guide, Tal was a delight. She knew the history of the Carmel Market district and the Yemenite community. The food tastings were plentiful and delicious as well as being tied closely to the Yemen cuisine. You cannot go wrong with this tour. It is a very small group and Tal is very much a part of the community. It’s an intimate and very local experience.

Tal was an EXCELLENT tour guide. She was punctual and communicative, knowledgeable not just about food but also about history and local culture, and fun to be around. Learning about the history of Carmel Market and the area bordering it along with enjoying the many wonderful types of foods. We tasted an amazing variety of food. You definitely want to go on this tour with an appetite. Tal is very knowledgeable of the history of the architecture as well as the history of how the Carmel market has developed and changed.

Tal was great, she knows the area and people so well and made us feel welcomed. This was our first of four tours in Israel and we could not have been more pleased. The food and vendors we amazing and we had plenty to eat. If Tal wrote a small book on the market and the food offered we would be the first in line to buy it. We loved this food tour! The food was plentiful and amazing. We also learned a great deal about the local area - it’s history and how it’s history shaped the foods that are available here. The tour supports family-owned businesses, something we really liked. We would definitely recommend taking this tour. It was one of our memorable experiences in Tel Aviv.

Tal met us in front of the Carmel market an guided us around the area. As a local she had a very good knowledge of the history of the neighborhood. We had a great variety of food from different cultures and after the tour I didn‘t need anything to eat for the whole day. Tal was such a great guide and she took care of everybody. If you plan to visit Tel Aviv i would definitely recommend you this tour!

Tal brought the whole history of the Yemenite Quarter and the Carmel market alive with her amazing insider knowledge as someone who has lived in the neighborhood for many years. We met fantastic bakers, spice merchants, fishermen, and market traders both Jewish and Arab; tried a variety of interesting and delicious foods, drinks and spices and ate the best falafel we have ever tried! Tal made the trip so fun for my kids while managing to keep it high level for the adults in the group. We didn’t even notice the heat as she kept us well hydrated and always managed to find clean bathrooms along the way. It was a great novel way to explore Tel Aviv from a local’s perspective. Highly recommend.

This was a fun day. Tal met us at the front of Carmel Market. She walked us through a maze of vendors explaining how the market had changed over the last several years. We stopped at a big variety of shops… talked to the merchants… and sampled a wide variety of foods. We were full when the tour was over. Tal is super nice. This was one of our favorite days in Tel Aviv.

We loved Tal, a young Israeli woman who used to live in the adjoining neighborhood & knows the local history & the local food vendors at the Carmel Market. We arrived into Israel a day early before we were to meet up with our tour & this was a wonderful way to start our trip.
