Great time; Petra is amazing. Kareem was an amazing tour guide. just know what you are getting yourself into - it is a very long day (25 hours from when we left our hotel to get the bus until we returned to our hotel); and the 3 mile walk in the summer heat is hard. But - it is worth it!!!

Was good. On the Jordan side the tour guide was very hospitable. It took 24 hrs from pick up to drop off. Which was a lot

So to start of Kareem the guide in jordan was great and the only saving grace
Here are my issues
1. The trip says 13 hours but it was literally 23 hours so that wasn't true and it wasn't even busy
2. The agent outside put me on the wrong bus on a wrong trip so i had to completely move the rest of my trip to go to the actual trip i wanted to go on which was petra
3. They stopped like 3 times both ways 20-30 minutes to get breaks which was most definitely not needed
4. I paid to go straight to petra not to pick up and drop off people in a whole different city which I don't remember seeing anything about that which killed literal hours.

Please don't let some of the crazy reviews put you off this tour, I think those people would prefer a helicopter to drop them directly there and fly them away when they're finished, yes it's a long day but it's one of the most amazing sites in the world.
It was literally jaw dropping to see Petra. On the Jordan side the tour guide Kareem was so nice and helpful, I'll never forget the day. I'm sorry this trip has gotten any bad reviews, seeing the Treasury for the first time is a sight I'll never forget, you won't regret it

Petra is an amazing 100% “must go place”, but the logistics of this tour was far from ideal. I knew it would be an exhausting day, but between non necessary stops (in Israel and a store on the road in Jordan that overpriced by A LOT the souvenirs) and picking up people in Jerusalem (instead of having 2 smaller buses doing the different pick ups), we spent way too much time on the bus and only around 3 hours at the actual park in Petra - not enough to enjoy… was too rushed there. The logistics can be improved to allow more time in Petra.

The trip itself is not easy, it’s a long way crossing the border walking all day, and getting back to TelAviv way and the border again. If I could choose now I would stay overnight. Anyways I would do it again just to have this amazing Jordan experience, we had an amazing guide named Karem extremely hospital and helpful, basically after we crossed border we paid only for drinks and gifts, the rest was provided by Jordan side, entrance and meal after Petras walk, very nice historical introduction, I felt very safe there all tho I was alone with child. We had great time, really now I think of all Jordan people as very hospital and nice, I don’t know about other trips I know what I experienced probably it’s a human factor, so I was very lucky with guides so I had a perfect trip

The trip to Petra was nice, however always long waiting times for the tour guides.
On the way back a heavy flood come from heavy rain and we couldn’t drive back to Tel Aviv, so the guide just kicked out everybody in the bus and we had to sleep on the beach! No help with hotels from the tour operator/guide and they didn’t even let us sleep in the bus. Horrible experience never travel with Tour Israel

We waited over 2 hours at the border to Jordan for the tour leader and other buses to arrive. The pick up in Tel Aviv should have been 2 hours later. It was a 24 hour ordeal to see PETA for 2.75 hours.

I rate this a 2/5 stars and I will start why I left them with 2 stars rather than giving them one.
A trip from Tel Aviv is long and arduous and few other companies offer this service. They helped me at the border as promised; however, anybody could do this themselves and I will on my next visit. I do believe Tour Israel could have done a much better job facilitating the journey through better instruction, more internal communication, management of expectation.
For one, the trip is completely disorganized. The guides assume you know everything already despite us having been given no prior itinerary nor instruction for the day. The guides then get frustrated when you ask for clarification about something.
Then, when we finally did get instructions we were caught waiting for hours and hours after an already incredibly long bus ride. For instance, at the border, one of their groups was running late so rather than put us on a separate bus, we waited for 2 1/2 hours! There was no where to buy food or water and the bathroom facilities were disgusting. I would have been fine if they would have been honest that we would have to wait so long, but they completely ignored the question as to how long it would be when asked. Then, because they were running late, when we actually arrived at Petra the guide rushed us through to make up for the time lost because we had to wait.
They need to manage expectation better when it comes to food, quality of vehicles, and travel time. They provide “lunch” as advertised but not until 4 PM. This was the only meal offered AND available for purchase when the tour started at 2 AM aside from one gas station stop. But even at the gas station, they failed to let us know this would be the only chance to purchase food all day. Aside from starving all day, the bus was completely uncomfortable and crowed in both Israel and Jordan. Many parts of the bus were broken such as the seat backs, on-bus wifi, and one of the window frames that banged every time the bus hit a bump. And worst of all was the travel time. Because the trip goes down to the southernmost border crossing to accommodate another one of their tours, nearly 6 hours is added unnecessary to travel time from Tel Aviv to Petra. Had I known we’d be going that route, I’d have choose a different option.
Between horrible communication and the high price-point, I would not recommend this trip unless you have no other means of traveling expect by bus form Tel Aviv. As an alternative to this trip, I would suggest staying in Elat and visiting from there or booking a flight directly to Jordan and visiting from Aquaba or Amman.

I have wanted to go to Petra for a very long time and doing so from Israel was the best option for me. I booked the tour in Viator, but was uncertain with all the reviews. Some where great, some were very bad, and I was a bit worried about what to expect.
It turned out better than all my expectations.
Contrary to some of the complains I read, the buses were very comfy, the ones in Israel with electric plugs and wifi. The ride was smooth, with some stops, and the border crossing uneventful.
The guide in Jordan, Adnan, was very knowledgeable, and the most important thing, Petra, was breathtakingly beautiful.
It is indeed a very long day, almost 24 hours, of which we only spent in Petra about 4, but to me it was undoubtetly worth it.
I didnt mind the long rides in the bus, because I was able to sleep soundly. Also, the views of the Negev and the sunset are beautiful to watch.
The border crossing into Jordan took 2 hours, but it felt quicker than that.
I do feel we had a few unnecessary stops, supposedly for bathroom breaks, but I think it was more of an effort to get you to buy stuff at the different gift shops.
Overall, I loved this tour and recommend it with closed eyes to anyone that wants to make a quick visit to Petra.

It was terrible
No information about what was happening.
No english spoken with driver, no body knew anythibg
Tour people with bad humor
Should explain the generals about each phase.
Terrible

The Petra site was remarkable,
but the tour was not. The buses were older with uncomfortable, narrow seating. The ride was bumpy and the AC on one segment of the 16 hour round trip drive came on and off noisily every 10 seconds. There were no bathrooms on the buses, either.
Though not a tour company issue, the homeless dogs and cats everywhere in Israel and Jordan were very disturbing. There seemed to be no concern for their welfare.

Yes, Petra was awesome to see. However, lots of time is wasted just being on the road. I was picked up from Tel Aviv at 2am and came back at 1:30am. With all that hours, we just got to spend 2hrs in Petra (30mins was lunch) And we didn’t really see any other places in within the vicinity, basically just the The Treasury. I wouldn’t recommend this trip from anyone getting picked up from Tel Aviv or Jerusalem because of the long hours. We had alot bathroom breaks so that added up and the bus is packed, even had to get extra van to accommodate others. So, with all that people, it took awhile getting thru the border and just getting everyone to follow took a bit of time. I think alot of people in my group was unhappy with the short amount of time spent in Petra.
Although I would say that the drivers and guide were very nice.

What a day! Out of all my trips, I would say this is the most memorable ever so far! Jordan is such an amazing and interesting country. Even though it was just a one day tour, I believe it’s enough to see and soak in some Petra, Jordan, especially if you’re on a tight schedule like we were. I suggest getting some good sleep before this tour because you will be absolutely tired after this tour but it was so worth it. Just seeing The Treasury, was worth the whole experience! If you get a chance, I really suggest getting a pic from the top of the hill where you can see the greatest view of the Treasury from the top. The only crazy part is the checkpoint after the tour, you will encounter maybe 7-8 checkpoints where they check your passport several times and they ask you questions what was your purpose of seeing Jordan. It kind of felt like I was being interrogated but as long as your honest with your answers you’ll be fine. What matters is I was able to see this beautiful country. Also, the tour guide, Kareem or Karim, was the sweetest! He even offered home made desserts for us before the tour and he talked about the history of Jordan and so much more while on the tour! He made us feel like family! I highly recommend this tour! It may be intimidating but don’t let that stop you from seeing this place.

The guide in Jordan was amazing. Really friendly and knowledgeable, he did his very best to give us the best experience. On the other hand, the whole trip is really long and I believe too many unnecessary stops are made, including driving all the way to Jerusalem to pick up more passengers. Not ideal, but Petra is the most wonderful thing you will see in your life
YIFAN_X, Jan 2020
Description said will get to Petra at 11:30 and leave at 16:30. Actual time in Petra is 13:00 to 16:00. Your description should add “only suitable for travellers who are looking for a good INS shoot then go”. Jordanian guide has a “no wait policy”. You’d think with the amount of money you paid you get a smaller group but the fact is the group is large and only one Jordanian rep to get 50 VISA- and prolonged visit to souvenir shops. Petra gets 5 stars but the service gets zero.

Yes, it is a trip to a remarkable archeological site that requires effort. The travel time is long, the border crossing in Jordan is time consuming and confusing, and the lunch offered is precarious. The relics to be seen in Petra are worth the effort. You have to wear appropriate shoes. Not recommend for tourists over 60 years old.
Gary_L, Nov 2019
Israel driver are rude and drive like crazy. The Petra tour guide needs more energy and a little difficult to understand. Needs more time in Petra because its so beautiful

Es una experiencia maravillosa, y el hecho de que te ayuden con la visa y El Paso a Jordania es buenísimo. Sin embargo es pesado el trayecto y son muy incómodos los buses. Fuera de eso es una gran experiencia
