After pickup from your Dead Sea hotel in the morning by your private driver, your tour starts with the drive to Petra in an air-conditioned vehicle, passing by desert and mountain landscapes. When you arrive at the Rose City, as Petra is nicknamed, meet your private guide for your 2-hour tour.
Your guide introduces you to Petra's long history, believed to date back as early as 312 B.C., when the Nabataeans, a nomadic people, founded the city as their capital. Walk through the Siq (the entrance), and admire the rock-cut architecture of Al Khazneh, a.k.a. the Treasury, Petra's most recognizable facade (you might remember it from movies such as Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade). Other features include the Roman theater, royal tombs, and necropolis.
When your time at Petra is up, enjoy a provided buffet lunch before the return transfer to your Dead Sea hotel.

Private tour to Petra was great - Radwan was very proactive in making sure every step along the journey went well drive to Petra, lunch, tour guide, return home. Khaled, the guide, was very knowledgeable. Ahmad driver was courteous and helpful. Everyone was very flexible to adjust to my timing and needs. Great tour!
