This circuit runs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, stopping at six wineries along the way. Choose which wineries to visit and how long to stay. Get on the next Vine Hopper when you're ready to move on. Stops include Simonsig, Beyerskloof, Bergkelder, Delheim Warwick and Marianne Wine Estate.

We started our wine tour from Stellenbosch town centre at 12. Our driver, Marchall, explained how the wine tour worked. We picked the northern route, which covered 6 vineyards and you could pick which ones you got off at. As we were later starting we picked 3: Delheim, Leivland and Remhoogte.
At Delheim you could have a 5 wine taster and the staff were great at explaining about the wines.
At Leivland you could have 5 or 3 wine tasters, we did 3 and a meat & cheese platter. The grounds here were stunning and we had a lovely lady tell us all about the wines.
At Remhoogte we shared their 5 wine taster.
It was a fantastic experience and Marchall was funny, friendly and full of information. Loved it!

Great value tour made even more special by the tour guide Marchal. Six wineries of which you could do a maximum of 5. But we chose 4 and also included lunch in one.

I loved this tour!!! I went in May 2018 for the WFOT Congress. We went to 6 different vineyards in the Stellenbosch region with cheese and wine tasting! South Africa is a beautiful country!

we had a lovely driver and we managed to fit in 5 wineries and a picnic we were collected for the tour which was handy as we bought so much wine this service is free but you have to request it 72 hours in advance

Our driver, Marshall was most welcoming and informative. We enjoyed the experience of hopping on/off. We particularly loved the REMHoogte Estate. We recommend the Wine Tour to anyone who would like to experience tasting excellent wines.

Vine Hopper was a lot of fun and allowed us to get to many wineries without having to worry about driving. Marshall and all of the drivers were friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

With our driver Marchal we've had a wonderful, friendly, knowledged and far beyond all expectations patient driver who where more than on time, picking up all the guests at their stops, even the drunken and most undisciplined ones. We've had a more than good choice to see what we wanted and have been asked more than one time for our wishes. He made arrangements for lunch in advance and introduced as to all vineries so we could start with tastings immediately. Pick ups where always more than in time and if not, what was always due to undisciplined customers (witnessed several times on two days), it was explained in advance or excused afterwards. Also did Ronald, a very friendly and reliable driver on our tour. So vine hopper can be recommended absolutely.

My experience with hop on hop off is that there is effectively a continuous service that allows me to get off, spend as much time as I want and get on the next hop on service that arrives. I can then miss a few stops of simply go straight to the end of the service.
This is definelty NOT what the Hop on Hop Off northern vineyards trip is!
You get on and are delivered to a vineyards then later picked up and delivered to the next. A bit different from expectations and experience.
The driver/guide was good and helpful but the loss of flexibility marred our experience of some woeful vineyards that I would not name. Each vineyard presented their wines well but ..

The transportation was working well, however, the service in the vinyards was so slow that we could not taste all the wines. There was not enough time for tasting the wines.

Mooi op tijd opgehaald op afgesproken plek. Zeer vriendelijke chauffeurs. Prachtige wijnhuizen en heerlijke wijnen. Leuk gezelschap.
Wij deden de tour vanaf 12 uur. Dat was genoeg. Drie wijnhuizen bezocht. 3x6 wijnen is echt genoeg!
Zeker de moeite waard om te doen
als je in Stellenbosch bent! Leuk uitstapje!!
