Adventure-loving travelers won’t want to miss this fun half-day sandboarding tour. From Lima you’ll be picked up at your hotel and driven to the huge sand dunes, where you’ll be briefed on how to use the sandboards best and how to get the most from riding the dunes. Race your friends down the dunes several times, progressing to higher and more challenging dunes as you go. No experience is necessary.

Fantastic experience near Lima! Our driver, Carlos, was a joy and our instructor Abraham was patient and made the experience incredible. Highly recommend - you get to stop at a local artisanal bread restaurant and drive through the sand dunes. Highly recommend!

I was traveling in South America for work and happened on an extended layover in Lima. I was not only accommodated with less than 24 hours notice, but got a private sandboarding lesson as well! You will not have a bad time with this instructor and driver. This is the perfect tour if you only have a half day in Lima, they’ll pick up and drop off at your hotel. They also made some excellent recommendations for restaurants near my place and future excursions to try my next time I’m truly vacationing in Lima!

You must attempt this experience if you are in Lima for a day! I've never surfed or sandboarded in my life. I do, however, enjoy trying new things. Before teaching me how to sandboard, the instructor demonstrated it for me. From the drive to the experience, it was enjoyable. Don’t miss out!

Abraham and our driver picked us up right from our hotel, right on time. We headed out and both Abraham and the driver were super nice and immediately made us feel comfortable! The drive went by fast and we stopped for a quick snack. Our driver was so experienced and driving through the dunes was exciting but we felt totally safe. Abraham is an awesome teacher and we went from a bit nervous to having a blast in like 10 min. Truly so much fun!!! I would honestly do this twice if we had more time in Lima!

We had the best time in the sand dunes! Our guides were amazing and kind. They made every bit of the process comfortable and assuring. The ride was adventurous too! I highly recommend this adventure if you have an afternoon free.

What an incredible tour! Our drive was about an hour-90mins from our hotel in Miraflores, and once there we had so much fun!! The instructor was so patient with us and so encouraging. He made us all feel comfortable and provided us with enough guidance that we were all able to do pretty well for a bunch of first-time boarders. Cannot recommend enough!

Loved this experience! My partner and I had absolutely no experience Sand boarding and Abraham was so patient. He made us feel very comfortable and kept it fun. He also got amazing pictures! The location was not far from Miraflores where we stayed and the sand dunes were perfect. The driver was awesome and we even stopped and got some ice cream on the way back. I will never forget this experience and would do it all over again!

Outstanding experience with my teenaged son (avid snowboarder). Our driver, Alberto, was prompt and friendly with just enough adventurous spirit to keep my son excited and me, nervous mama, calm. Abraham "Frost" was very patient with both us at steep learning curves and very different skill levels for sandboarding. I sledded. Though this isn't Ica/Huacachina, it is a very doable and worthwhile day trip to Chilca and still be back in time for a nice dinner. The sand dunes were otherworldly- it's like being transported to a different planet. We would do this excursion again in a heartbeat!

Eddie was a very good and experienced driver, and Abraham was very patient with the boys in our group, I did sledding and it was amazing experience and my nephew had lots of fun. The driver was on time and we were properly notified with all the details.

Really lovely instructor and driver. He was so nice and helpful. I had a blast and he taught me well. Just have confidence in yourself and you’ll do well. He was very accommodating and giving. The bakery we stopped at was delicious! Please get something from them because it is fresh and authentic and just delicious! I was alone because no one else booked on the day I booked but I felt comfortable the whole time.

This was a great trip and well worth the cost/time. Our guides from Nómada Boards and Experiences were excellent. We had a 4x4 driver to get us out to the dunes and a sand boarding instructor to teach us to ride. Highly recommend if you are looking for a cool 1/2 day tour.

This was an INCREDIBLE experience. We weren’t sure what to expect but the guides/driver were absolutely top notch! The dunes were incredible and while we’ve never even skateboarded our guides made us feel confident and at ease. The attention to detail with our large group was above and beyond. My teens can’t stop talking about this and we did Macchu Picchu! Definitely book, you won’t regret it!

Had a great time! We went for about an hour and half drive. Stopping at a really good bakery along the way. Then went sand boarding. If you’ve snowboarded before, you should pick it up pretty quick. The hosts were awesome. Definitely a unique experience and the highlight of my last week in Peru!

This was hands down one of our favorite things we did in Peru! They picked us up and dropped us off right from the place we were staying which was very convenient. They made a quick stop on the way out at a place that makes fresh bread and it was ridiculously amazing. The drive in the dunes was insane and SO much fun! The boarding itself was so different than I expected, but in a good way! We expected it to be more like snowboarding, but it had a much different feel so that was really neat. I could have easily spent all day out sandboarding and been in heaven! They took pictures and videos for us and gave us very good training for using the boards. We also got to snuggle Kusy the dog and that was a treat in itself! If you’re looking for something to do in Lima, don’t look any farther! This is definitely the activity to do while visiting!

This is a must when visiting Lima. Our driver and sandboarding expert came promptly on time, answered all of our questions and even made a pit stop at a local eatery that was outstanding. We then did some 4x4 through the sand dunes, which in itself was a very cool experience. Finally the team sent us down the dunes after a few lessons. It was an unbelievable experience and a highly reccomend using this company, especially given the fact it’s so close to Lima’s downtown district.
