The performance is very impressive. The setting is beautiful. The tour guide is great, but there is an additional cost to enter the temple and the performance. If you buy Class 1 or Class 2 seats for the ballet, bring your own cushions.

We were truly Blessed to be able to see Prambanan Temple, and watch the Ramayana Ballet. A tour of histiry religion and culture. Our guide Wahyu was awesome. The youngster guided us and helped us all the way. He snswered with patience hundreds of our questions.

Wahyu was an exceptional tour guide! He is a super conversationalist, engages his guests and shows real interest in their back story. Wahyu was helpful and attentive during our activities. He made sure we had everything we needed, willingly changed pick-up times to accommodate us and helped arrange tickets beforehand. We loved our experience with Wahyu and if we ever find ourselves in Jogja again, we’ll be sure to seek Wahyu out!

The driver/guide Iskandar was very knowledgeable and made the process very smooth.
The temples at Prambanan park were amazing (especially Prambanan and Sewu), and we had a really good dinner at a nearby restaurant before the Ramayana show. The backdrop of the show were the temples at night.

The driver never came. We arenow taking another taxi after wating for 10 min.
Pls make sure we get a full refund. We need to be at Prambanan in time to see the templeand the sunset.

This problem would not happen if you were committed with what you said and responsible for what you did.
Firstly, after I received your booking, I offered you to reserve Ramayana tickets because in high season, the ticket will be sold out immediately. Then you said 'yes, please' and you informed me about the class you chose.
Our conversation was in the night about 10.00 p.m., and then I informed you that I have contacted Ramayana staff to reserve the tickets for you.
But now it's already night, so we needed to wait the response tomorrow in the office hours. Then you said 'yes' or 'okay'.
Tomorrow morning about 09.00, I received a response from Ramayana staff that's the ticket is available and immediately I reserved it for you by transferring money as a deposit.
At about 11.00, you replied to my message and said that I was too late, you had reserved Ramayana tickets on the website of another company.
So, that made me a little bit shocked. You reserved Ramayana tickets from another company without informing me previously. And I had sent some deposits from my pocket which was not refundable.
Basically, I'm no problem with what you do as long as you inform me first before you do it.
Or if it's already happened, I'm no problem as long as you're responsible for what you do by giving my money back.
But it's not, you just blamed me that I was late to respond and you didn't want to pay back my money.
Even you didn't say sorry or apologize for what you did.
Actually, it's not about the money totally, but it's about your personality, character, commitment, and responsibility.
That finally I give you 2 options:
1. The tour will go as normally by paying back my money as your responsibility.
2. If you don't want to pay back my money, you'll not be picked up at your hotel as the consequence.
What's your answer was just still to blamed me that I was too late to respond and you didn't want to pay back my money until finally the starting time for the tour came. And for sure, we didn't pick you up at your hotel.
I have provided hundreds tours in Yogyakarta and dozens of times for Ramayana performance, and so far so good.
If I can show our conversation here, it would be more fair and people will see what's happening.
If I want, I'm able to not give you a refund for this tour since it's not refundable and this problem is caused by you.
But I still have a kindness, I contacted the platform finally to give you a refund 100%. Even I gave you the refund before seeing this review.
I had sent you the proof of the refund. You are also freely to contact the platform if what I informed is wrong.
Finally, you don't loose your money because I had refunded it. But me, I loose my money because of your bad act.

Er had a great time visiting the Prambanan temple and ballet, including a nice dinner recommended by our guide Wahyu. If founder interested in traditional dance/music, I would definitely recommend to book the ballet as well. Don’t forget your raincoat in rain season 😏
