A very special day in the mountains. Early morning city hotel pick up by Javiera our excellent host and guide. Great breakfast by her husband Carlos at their mountainside Glamping site before trekking. Our guide Francine was experienced, knowledgeable and great company. Spectacular trek … rock formations, giant cacti, wild goats and horses, signs of a puma (poo) varied hardy plants and stunning views. Plied with nisperos (loquarts) by Francine on the climb. Delicious sandwiches and packed lunch prepared by Javiera. Summit views stunning. Condors wonderful to see at close range. Learned to use trekking poles. Five star experience.
