⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Amazing way to start our trip in El Salvador!

Mark_M, Jan 2026
My wife and I arrived on an early morning flight and needed something fun to do before our hotel check-in, and this tour was perfect. We dropped our bags at the hotel and met Arely early in the morning for an excellent walking tour through San Salvador. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the city feel welcoming right away. We especially enjoyed the coffee stops along the way — a great local touch. After the city tour, we drove up to El Boquerón National Park to see the volcano, and the views were incredible. The highlight was finishing with delicious pupusas while enjoying an amazing panoramic view of San Salvador — truly unforgettable. Everything was smooth and well-organized, and the timing worked out perfectly because we returned to the hotel right when our room was ready. Arely was fantastic and we would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting San Salvador — especially if you want to see a lot in one day with a great guide!

Lovely walk around town...

Marta_T, Jan 2026
Lovely walk around town with lots of amazing information about the history, then super tasty pupusas then the beautiful national park. Wilman, our guide was fantastic!

I had a great time

Alex was my guide and I had a great day. Started with a short/easy hike with beautiful views, then we ventured into the chaos of the city. Alex gave me background of different areas, pointed other areas out (Mercado Central and other markets) that I might want to revisit during my stay. We had a nice coffee, nice lunch and nice convo. Highly recommend

Very good tour to visit San Salvador and Boqueron National Park

Elvin_A, Jun 2025
This is a great tour to visit many highlight spots in the city of San Salvador and El Boquerón National Park, and to try pupusas with a great view of the city. Our guide did a great job making a nice route to walk around the city to visit the plazas, churches, and the amazing library. Afterward, we went to the National Park (be ready to walk many stair steps!), where we had a nice view of the volcano and the park area. We finished the tour at a restaurant where we had the pupusas, though I think I've had better ones in the city. The restaurant also has local coffee that you can purchase. Overall, it's a very nice tour to learn about San Salvador and enjoy a nice view of the city.

Not to miss!!

Wendy was so phenomenal. Very knowledgeable, passionate and patient. She loves her culture and her ancestry and it was on full display (despite her being under the weather). She shared her stories of travel and family. She was super witty. This was probably one of best experiences I have ever encountered!! THANK YOU Wendy

A must if staying in the capital!

see1508, May 2025
I had a private guide and I was given a detailed historical tour of the city, a short hike to the crater and the last stop was stopping for lunch to sample the Pupusa which is a Salvadorian national dish. My tour guide, Lisbeth, was excellent!

You must book this tour!

Rachel_Z, Dec 2024
Lizbeth gave a comprehensive tour and was so thoughtful and attentive throughout the whole day. It was so nice and eye-opening to walk through the capital city and see the beautiful El Boqueron national park. This tour is a must-do when in San Salvador.

Surf City and the volcano 🌋 The tour guide and driver were both wonderful and friendly 😀We would recommend them!

Great way to get to know the city

MariaFrancia_A, Sep 2024
This walking Tour was very good! Highly recommended if this is your first time in San Salvador. If you have mobility issues, please reconsider. Walking is the only way to see the city and appreciate what it has to offer.

Beautiful San Salvador

Julie_m, Aug 2024
Melissa had so much knowledge to share and was such a fun tour guide. The city portion of the tour gave us insight into some amazing churches and government buildings. The lunch and volcano portion was breathtaking. The weather change between the two sights was a nice bonus. Highly recommend!

Joshy and William’s city tour

NUBIA_P, Aug 2024
Joshy, our tour guide, and William, our driver were excellent. They were easy to understand, very helpful, willing to make an extra effort to make us comfortable and enjoy our tour. I highly recommend their services.

A Delightful Tour

ann_a, Jun 2024
Incredible! Delightful! Lizbet and Cesar were amazing tour guides. They taught me so much of the history of El Salvador. Also got to see so many interesting places along with eating pupusas! Thank you! You made my trip!

Don’t skip this tour!

I can’t recommend this tour enough! My best friend and I were spending 3 days in El Salvador and saved this tour for our last day. It was an incredible way to end our trip. Our guide was Gerson. We had great guides for our other tours but honestly, Gerson (and Caesar!) was our favorite. It was just me and my friend so it was a very personalized tour. We saw SO much! Including the man and his exercise buddy (I won’t ruin the surprise but ask about it!) which Gerson hadn’t even seen before! He taught us so much about the history of El Salvador and San Salvador as well as the culture and life there. He made sure we saw all that we could and asked if there were other things we wanted to see. The best part was that we felt so safe. Two women in San Salvador…part of me was nervous beforehand but it’s really safe there and having someone else with us helped too, of course. My friend and I had previously considered just walking around but within 15 min of the tour, we knew we’d never see what we saw with Gerson or learn as much as we did. He was personable, informative, super nice, and hilarious. And the pupusas??!! I could live on those pupusas alone (and we learned how to eat them the “right” way lol) By the end of the day, it felt like we were spending time with two friends (who introduced us to some great music too!). We spent the day walking the city, learning, laughing, and making great memories. I truly hope to be able to go back and I’d love to take another tour with EC, especially if we can get the same guide! Thank you so much for the incredible experience, EC and Gerson! If you’re on the fence about this tour, book it. You won’t be disappointed.

San Salvador in One Day

JORGE_T, May 2024
We got to see San Salvador’s main attractions, including El Boquerón, with knowledgeable and friendly Melissa, our excellent tour guide. The pupusa tasting was a plus. William, our driver, also five stars. A flawless and fantastic experience.

Fantastic guide & wonderful tour

eric_p, May 2024
I had high expectations for the tour and it exceeded them due to the truly wonderful guide, Yesenia. She actively listened to what we were interested in seeing and adjusted on the fly as things caught our interest. I felt like we saw all of the main tourist sights as well as sights/areas only visited by locals. It was truly the best of both worlds. She is also a fantastic storyteller and did a wonderful job of explaining the city/country history and all the sights/areas we visited. A tour is a tour, but a guide is what makes a trip great and Yesenia made our trip great. Next time in San Salvador, I would take additional tours with her.

Excellent and fun tour!

Matthew_D, Feb 2024
We had Wendy as our guide and Alessandro as our driver. We were very pleased with our tour. We had some serious discussions, but we also laughed a lot. A very detailed tour of the major landmarks around the city. There was some flexibility if we wanted to check something out not on the itinerary. We loved it! A must tour if in San Salvador!

Incredible experience

Derek_M, Feb 2024
I loved every moment of my tour, seeing and learning about the history of San Salvador, with an amazing and personable tour guide, Joshy. Being picked up at my hotel, and escorted around couldn't have been easier. We then went out of the city to hike up the valcano. It was incredible to sit at the top and have a café. Driving back down to enjoy papusas with a view over the entire valley. Lastly sliding down the famous rainbow slide. I highly recommend this tour if you only have a day, and Joshy for showing me her country and culture.

Absolutely wonderful

Shawna_F, Oct 2023
In all honesty, this was one of the best experiences we’ve had so far. Instead of being with group of tourists and being shepherded around the city, the private tour felt like a friend picking us up and showing us their city. We had a few hiccups (El Bocqueron was closed and a mini tropical storm came through) but it never fazed our tour guide, Mel, who improvised and took up on a mini coffee tour. Mel kept in communication before we were picked up, was knowledgeable, and you can tell she enjoyed talking about El Salvador’s history and culture. We would definitely rebook with this company again!

HIghly recommended.

Tracy_S, May 2023
This was a very informative walking tour. Michelle our tour guide was great. The one thing that I would recommend is that the pupusa tasting happen in the city at a pupuseria, not at the Finca that we went to. for it. Now, the Finca was awesome (view from high on the volcano), and glad we got to enjoy it, but the place was packed and not one local there was eating pupusas. The menu looked great. We learned a lot.

Enjoyable and informative

Elizabeth_S, May 2023
Our guide, Michelle, was wonderful. She gave us great information on the history of El Salvador, the civil war, and how much things have changed for the better in the last year with a new president. She chose beautiful and interesting places to tour in San Salvador. The national park was gorgeous. And we absolutely loved the pupusas.

Super bueno!!.
