Fantastic overland transfer from Dushanbe to Samarkand. Journey took six hours, door to door, including the border crossing. Very smooth and efficient journey and process. My drivers Madhi from Dushanbe to the Uzbek border and Sharom from the border to my Samarkand hotel were excellent - friendly, safe drivers. Incredible scenery along the route. Highly recommended.

My 15 year old son and I had a fine experience with this transfer. Prompt pick up and smooth drop off at the border. The driver sent a photo to the pick up car in Tajikistan to help with the transfer. It took about 45 -55 minutes to go through customs, then it was about 6 hours to Dushanbe. The driver and his brother were very friendly, and he could tell us some things about different sites with his limited English. Super kind and we felt completely safe on the trip for both rides. The drive on the Tajikistan side was absolutely beautiful- glad I chose to take the drive then fly. If I was feeling a bit better I would have added the 3 hour free detour to the must see Iskandarkul.
