Was met by my guide/driver at my hotel on time. We proceeded to visit the exquisite sites in central Samarkand late morning. Finished a bit early as I wasn’t interested in seeing the museum in detail. Good thing, as it soon started to rain. Was thrilled that I was able to visit the amazing sites without getting wet! Great guide, excellent itinerary. Highly recommended.

From the imposing Amir Temur mausoleum to the expansive Registan square, with the Bibi Khanum Cathdral and the Hazrat Khizr mosque sprinkled in between, we spent the day in the company of History, chaperoned by the very able ZARSHED.

    One Day in Samarkand

    Roman_J, Apr 2026
This tour lets you visit the must-see sites in Samarkand in just a day. Farzin was my tour guide and driver throughout the day, arranging tickets and providing detailed explanations at each site. We managed to visit all the sites even though we had limited time. Since the sites are not all nearby, it is important to have a guide and a transport arranged, which made this tour perfect. I was lucky to visit at the beginning of the season where the sites were not as busy. I hope to be able to spend more time in Samarkand next time, as it is full of history. I do recommend this tour when in Samarkand.

    Incredible experience & highly recommended!

I would highly recommend booking this tour! Some specific things I should highlight that made this experience so worthwhile. We were a family with a baby. The experience was fully private which allowed us to explore at a pace that worked for us, our guide Farzeen was extremely professional and knowledgeable (and also quite funny, lots of stories to tell and we felt so relaxed the entire time). We learnt so much over the course of the tour and were given great recommendations for food spots including Plov which is definitely one of those things that you will come across in lots of places in Uzbekistan but you really need to know where to have it in the best / most authentic style. We got incredible photos and really enjoyed our time. Olimjon was also able to help me out with a private transfer to Tashkent when we were struggling to get the right train option and it was THE most comfortable road experience we have had. It made a huge difference to our trip - these guys are really professional and know how to make sure you have the best experience possible. Thank you so much for all your help!

A brilliant guided tour of a spectacular city

We had an absolutely fantastic day tour around Samarkand's main sights with Olimjon – he is incredibly knowledgable, great fun and helped us to really make the most of only having a very short time in this magnificent city.

I’m glad that I take the private tour, since my time is tight, the private tour can just meet my time slot. They contacted me soon after booking, and provided valuable information before journey. My guide was Shukhrat, he was friendly and professional. I’m not familiar with Islamic history and religion, I learned a lot from the tour and stories he told. It’s much better to hear them from a guide than searching from google. He suggests me some local Kimchi which are tasty. Above all, they introduce another private guide in Bukhara. The lady is very friendly and commutative. Since we had no time for the lunch she bought us samosa and helped us to order and take away dinner, and taxi to the station. She told us very interesting stories and put questions relating those sights, which made the tour being interactive.

We were lucky to have a private tour with Olimjon. He was knowledgeable about the places we visited, spoke terrific English, and customized our day so we could visit a few additional places of interest. He was also a great photographer!

So lucky to have Olimjon as my tour guide!

My tour in Samarkand with Olimjon was a great experience. He was very smart and accommodating, especially with my tight schedule. Before we even started, he asked what kind of information I wanted to focus on, which really showed how thoughtful and efficient he is as a guide. I love architecture, decoration, and history, so he centered the tour around those topics and explained everything in a clear and engaging way. He is a great teacher and was able to answer all of my questions while encouraging my curiosity. He also gave me excellent recommendations for local restaurants. Olimjon is very knowledgeable, kind, and professional, and the fact that he runs his own tour company really shows in the quality of his work. I highly recommend him for anyone visiting Samarkand.

    Fantastic Samarkand Experience with Olimjon

I had a great half day with Olimjon. Saw the main historic sites as well as the bazaar in Samarkand. Olimjon was very knowledgable and shared his good insight in both local history and culture. I can truly recommend a guided tour with Olimjon.

    Best Tour in Samarkand

    Arwa_R, Nov 2025
The tour of Samarkand was spectacular. I enjoyed every minute of it. The tour guide was punctual, knowledgeable, pleasant, and accommodating. The car that took us around the city was very comfortable. I was more interested in textile and history, so my tour guide adjusted our tour to accomodate my interstes. He also knew where to take the best photos around the city and he kindly took professional-level photos, making my experience in Samarkand last in my mind and in print.

    Samarkand in 6 hours

Had a perfect day. Our guide, Olimjon, was Knowledgeable, and very flexible. He met us at the train station and took us to the hotel since it was right next to the beginning of our tour. After leaving our luggage, we began. He has deep knowledge about history and explained everything with great clarity, making the city’s rich culture come alive. We went to all the historical and important places in the city. We also got a feel for the city and the people who make Samarkand home. His fluent English made communication very smooth and easy throughout the trip. Always kind, patient, and helpful, he went above and beyond to make our journey comfortable. The car and driver made the entire trip seamless. The car would miraculously appear as soon as we were done. I would highly recommend this tour and especially ask for Olimjin!

    Convenient and Informative Tour

    JORDAN_E, Aug 2025
Olimjon was an excellent guide. He picked us up at the train station when we arrived and took us to see all of the major sites and a bonus visit to a local sill carpet factory. We learned a lot from him and it was very nice to have a private driver pick us up at each stop in addition to Olimjon’s guided tour. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to do a one day tour of Samarkand.
