From beginning to end, Brad and Leah (in the office) were brilliant, organised friendly with a great sense of humour. The tour was breathtaking and our group was able to view the island from a local perspective. Loved it looking forward to another vacation here.

Exploring St. Lucia by electric scooter was hands-down one of the most fun and freeing ways to see the island! From the moment I hopped on, it felt like the perfect blend of adventure and chill island vibes. Please note: I could not handle it so I rode with a guide.
St. Lucia’s hills and curves are real, so a bit of caution and confidence on the throttle goes a long way — especially on steeper sections. But with a light breeze, tropical sunshine, and the sound of waves in the distance, it never felt stressful — just exciting. 🌞🌊
Locals were friendly and helpful, too — a quick smile or wave from someone on the roadside just added to the island charm. The scooters themselves? Clean, smooth, and well maintained. Perfect way to see the real St. Lucia — off the beaten path and the electric scooters in St. Lucia are a total yes if you want a fun, flexible, and eco-friendly way to explore the island. Just bring sunscreen, a sense of adventure! 🛴
Special shout out to Thomas, you made the excursion memorable!

I went with my partner and had originally intended to have a scooter each. However, they were incredibly hard to drive (accelerates extremely quickly) and the training car park was very small. I ended up sitting on the back of the scooter while my partner drove. We were lucky in that the roads were very quiet, we would have felt much more uncomfortable driving in the traffic we'd experienced over the rest of our holiday.
It was nice to get out and about and try something new but none of the stops we had were particularly interesting or scenic.
Lovely coach driver for the pick up.

We showed up early for the pre-determined pick-up time and stood there for a full hour, but no one from the operator showed up. We did not have cell service off the ship, so one of the cab drivers let us use his phone. When I got in touch with the business, they claimed we were not there, which was b/s, and proceeded to be quite rude wth us and hung up the phone. After looking forward to this event for many months, our day was ruined. due to this, we cancelled another excursion we had a few days later at another island to make sure this would not happen again. Piss poor businessMost definitely would not recommend this excursion.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are truly sorry that you were disappointed, however we must respectfully clarify the circumstances surrounding this situation, as the account provided does not accurately reflect what occurred.
On the day in question, this tour had six (6) separate couples scheduled for the exact same pickup time and location. All other guests arrived on time and were successfully picked up and went on to enjoy the tour as planned. Our team arrived at the designated location at the scheduled time and waited approximately 15 minutes beyond departure, after which the remaining guests—who were present and growing understandably frustrated—requested that we proceed.
If a guest was present at the correct location and time, it would not have been possible for all other parties to be picked up while one was missed.
After departure, our office received a phone call from the reviewer demanding an immediate pickup. While we understand the frustration of missing an excursion, our staff was spoken to in an extremely rude and aggressive manner despite calmly explaining that the vehicle had already departed and that all of our tours operate on a strict schedule. Once a departure window has passed, it is unfortunately not possible to turn a tour around without negatively impacting all other guests who arrived on time.
We would also like to note that a one-star review of a tour that was not actually experienced does not fairly reflect the quality of our product or service. The remaining guests on that tour had a fantastic experience, consistent with the overwhelming majority of our reviews.
We genuinely regret that this guest missed their tour and understand how disappointing that can be. However, lateness to a scheduled pickup—particularly on shared excursions—cannot be attributed to poor business practice, nor is it a reflection of the experience we consistently deliver to our guests.
We appreciate all feedback and remain committed to providing safe, well-organized, and memorable experiences for those who join us on time.

We were picked up promptly and taken to the starting point of the tour. We had an orientation and practice time with the scooters. Brad and Mervin made sure that everyone was well prepared for the ride and then we had an excellent time touring around the area.
Allen_W, Dec 2024
Starting off by saying the staff was great, making sure the experience went off safely. But the reason my review is not 5 stars is because of confusion at the beginning and then not quite sure what got for the tour.
We were provided a address for the pickup point. So we went street side. After not finding anyone we called and was told that someone was at the gangway waiting. This resulted in wasted walking and time.
To be clear, this activity is NOT 'No extra skill required—if you can ride a bike, you can ride a scooter'. We had several that failed the figure 8 test drive you had to pass before hitting the streets.
As for the tour itself, not quite sure what we got or did. You can read the full tour description yourself but the following is what I'm am questioning or even sure we did. If the below were meant to be only a drive-by then it should have been pointed out.
The tour description said:
'Pigeon Island to Cas-en-Bas to Rodney Bay and beyond, your guide turning scenic vistas into storied landmarks along the way.
See the Beverly hills of St. Lucia, pirate hangouts, and more'
The itinerary said (read the FULL description of each):
'Reduit Beach
Darren Sammy National Cricket Stadium
Gros Islet
Pigeon Island National Park
Cap Estate
Rodney Bay Marina'
We only had 1 stop and pretty sure it was at the Pigeon Island Public Beach.
All in all, the tour could have gone off better.

No one showed up to pick us up from the cruise terminal, had to catch a ride with another tour group.
We Waited over 30 minutes in office for another group to arrive before starting. Way Too large of a group, would have been better with a group of no more than 8 people as they take you through a lot of traffic.
Description promises 5 to 6 stops. We had one. No time for pictures.
Also promises back roads with little traffic. Most of the traveling had much traffic on difficult to control electric scooters with large tires.
Only the one stop was scenic. The rest of trip was through neighborhoods, industrial or commercial areas.
We’ve done scooter tours in the past but these are definitely not for beginners. They were very difficult to control.

Terrible communication with company in the end. They changed time and meeting place without informing us so we waited in 32 degree heat for an hour. They said they had sent email but I did not and have not received it. Requested refund and they are still refusing .

Guys were great, even accommodating my daughter with a petrol scooter because she couldn't come to terms with the electric throttle control. Guys kept the group safe and were very knowledgeable. I'd recommend this 💯%
David_S, Mar 2024
My wife had a hard time getting the knack of riding the scooter so she rode on the back of mine. The guide did a really nice job in showing us around and describing the different areas of interest. We both enjoyed ourselves.
Robert_B, Mar 2024
The company told me I never confirmed with them. I made the reservations two days before and did confirm. And even had my tickets sent to me. I have no idea why they did not show up to pick me up. But did not get to take the excursion.
VSadowski, Feb 2024
We were not able to do this excursion because none of us could handle the motorcycle well enough to travel on the roads. I would highly recommend that only people with motorcycle experience sign up for this.
However, the tour operator kindly moved us to Segway’s and we saw beautiful views of St. Lucia and had lots of fun.
Sunita_J, Feb 2024
Absolutely amazing experience!! I was not an experienced driver nor could i handle being on the road on my own but that was totally fine because i got to ride with the lovely janai and i apologize if that spelling is incorrect but he gave me the best tour and took the time to explain all the island greatest. We even stopped for refreshments and saw the water! Thank you to amazing group of workers who were patient with us. Hubby and I will never forget the experience!! 10/10

Tour operator did not show up and we could not get ahold of them. When Viator called them, they insisted that we had been picked up and were on the bus on route, when in fact we were on the other line speaking to Viator. We got our money back, but obviously very frustrated.
Victoria_M, May 2023
Great fun, Brad was a fab guide and instructor, something different to see a bit of the real St Lucia.
We both enjoyed it and thank you to Brad for taking me as his passenger.

Guide was nice and patient with teaching me how to get the hang of driving the scooter. Beautiful views and get to see more of the locals
Sandra_F, Apr 2023
I was so happy when I found out that they do an excursion with those Big Wheel Scooters because I drove them before and it’s really Fun. But unfortenately this excursion was not like I expected. There did put way to many people in the group. Ten Bikes. Mostly Couples. The men did figure it our pretty fast, the girls unfortunately not. They were so insecure and shaky that it was almost a crime letting them driving on the street. So the whole group just had to chug around the entire trip. Mostly about 15 km/h. I sometimes could have walked faster. I thought that was not Ok at all. They should split those groups by Beginners and Advanced so everybody gets their Fun. When I suggested that to the leader, he just answered that normally they do have even bigger groups with about 16 Bikes. OMG ! That's awful !
And just by they way, driving slowly with those things is even more difficult then going faster because keeping balance at slow speed is much much harder. It´s a pitty that their good idea fails because of trying to make as much money as possible with huge groups.
Response from Host, Apr 2023
Hi there Sandra, we remember you and we are aware that you were a more experienced rider than we usually get on tour. However, the nature of all group tour activities is that you must move to the pace of the slowest participant. We realize you were getting impatient on tour and thats not good because you then loose sight of the fact that this is actually a TOUR with sights to behold and history to learn. Perhaps its okay to take things slowly once in a while?
We do however hope you enjoyed the rest of your stay!
Donald_V, Apr 2023
First time ridding an electrical "scoter" but the route it took us and different level of peoples control of the scooter made it little boring.

We already responded to your partners comments above, but that you for your contribution.
All the best!

Urey nice guys. The site says St Lucia beaches and backroads tour. Saw beach from afar. Never got close to beach . The ride was an example of 10 mph braking and dodging holes, avoiding dogs and chickens. Once again, the guide was very nice and accommodating.
Response from Host, Apr 2023
Thanks for the kind words shared about our Guides! They are indeed excellent at what they do - and look forward to sharing this wonderful experience with all guests from near and far. Regarding your complaint, it is a strange one, because there is a set route for this tour that literally takes you to beaches. So we will look into it, but its hard to believe that you didn't get close to a beach when the route is predetermined. Again, very strange but we will look into it. Certainly not a complaint we have ever heard before after conducting this tour for thousands of satisfied guests.
We do hope you enjoyed the rest of your trip!
Rodney_R, Apr 2023
The tour guides Brian and Brad were very nice. But you really don’t get to see very much. They took us to a cricket stadium and then to a section of beach. All travel is on nasty back roads. No rides up to mountains or anything like that and for a larger guy like me and a few others in our party the speeds were too slow to maintain stability. They have to pace the tour to the least experienced rider and that hurts the whole thing and probably dictates the routes we took. I would do something else besides this.
Response from Host, Apr 2023
Thanks for the kind works about our guides. They really do go above and beyond to provide the best possible experience for our guests. However, this review seems quite harsh and it needs to be pointed out that the opinion expressed here is very much a personal one. Most people who take this tour actually enjoy the quaint back roads and sights to behold. Cricket for instance being a huge part of our culture and visiting the stadium named after the captain of the west indies cricket team (who also happens to be a St. Lucian) - lots of people find these kinds of stops and facts interesting. Finally, you are correct that group tours do have to move to the pace of the slowest rider and that can be challenging at times - but you're vacation on a Caribbean island. Its okay to slow down and feel the breeze on your face sometimes!
Hope you enjoyed the rest of your trip.

I gave five stars so not to tarnish the rating of this small business. But these are not simple machines. It is not true that being able to ride a bicycle is sufficient skill set to master this scooter to the point of being able to operate it on the road. There were four people in our group. None of them were able to master it to the point of being able to take the excursion. We had young men and young women, nobody could master it. I think it would be very very fun if you had motorcycle experience. I wish we could have sorted it out. The owner was extremely professional and kind.

Our cruise ship docked late and I wasn’t able to communicate with the tour company due to the spotty wifi. I was afraid we were going to miss our tour, but they found us in the cruise terminal from my picture in the app! This company was very professional and kind. We felt safe the whole time. Our guide, Brad, was wonderful and patient. He kept us safe on the tour while also ensuring we had a great time.
Paul_C, May 2022
We enjoyed this trip and was something different. A little scary driving in some traffic areas on the left side of the road and some rather large pot holes here and there. Personally wish we would have skipped the Cricket field stop and stopped at the nice beach we passed. Also wish they would have taken more pics of us driving.

OMG!!! This excursion lands in my top 5 of favorites! From the app to emails, Viator was top notch in responding when I had any questions or concerns. There were no hidden fees and we were given all the specifics upfront. The actual excursion with iRide Caribbean was amazing. The administrator, Leah, at iRide, was attentive and quite pleasant. She too answered all of my questions and even sent me the photos she took prior to the ride. Yet the star of the excursion was Brad our tour guide - AMAZING! He made sure we both were comfortable and secure with the maneuvering of the electric big-wheel scooter, and signaling. The ride was extraordinaary. He kept us laughing, and is quite knowledgeable about the island and the history. A must do if you're ever in Saint Lucia!
Ava_W, May 2022
They didn’t turn up on time and sent me a message AFTER saying the driver was running late? But by that point I’d been waiting for half an hour in the boiling heat and had to leave
Response from Host, May 2022
Hello Ava. We pride ourselves on delivering amazing guest experiences - and our reviews usually reflect such. So its sad for us to receive review like this and you didn't even get to take the tour. After much discussion with the team at the office, it was clearly communicated to you that your pickup was at 10:50am. You made a choice to sit in the lobby from 10:30am. The front desk agent at your hotel was in communication with us the entire time. When the driver arrived at 10:53am, you were no where to be found. Yes you had been waiting for over 20 minutes at that point, but that was your decision. The driver was only 3 minutes late - the majority of guests are understanding of such minute delays. We really wish you had decided to not leave the lobby as we were prepped and ready to share our memorable experience with you on that day. We are sorry for how things turned out and want to wish you all the best!

This is one of the best 1/2 days we had, as not an experienced rider, Brad made sure I was confident enough to go out on the bike first, and once off aroud the back streets seeing the real St Lucia, plenty of informative stops and time for photos, great day & good fun thanks Brad !!👍
David_K, Feb 2022
I did this excursion with my wife and my 73 year old mother this past Christmas break. Their representative was waiting for us right on time at the cruise ship port and he drove us to their departure store front to pick up the e-bikes. My mother rides over 150 miles per week on her bicycle so we thought she would be good to go on these e-bikes. Sadly it was too hard for her to grasp the concept of twisting the handle for throttle and keeping her balance at slow speeds. So she ended up riding on the back of the tour guides e-bike. I think she ended up having more fun than my wife and I. The bikes are incredibly fun and they have them in a de-tuned mode that limits their speed and acceleration. So if you are a novice rider you have nothing to fear. If you ride motorcycles regularly you might be a little disappointed on the e-bikes performance. This was a better excursion than any we have ever booked through a cruise ship in St Lucia. There were some people from another ship doing a segway tour from this same company, so I assume they also offer these e-bikes via booking with a cruise ship as well. I always prefer to book directly with the tour company or here on this website.
Arielle_C, Feb 2022
Such a fun way to tour the city! Bikes were pretty easy to ride as well. I would definitely recommend this tour through the city!
AnnKathleen_J, Jan 2026
For those who can ride motorcycles or mopeds the tour is great!
Rather difficult for people without experience. A lady fell several times with the scooter while driving in and finally set it against a container.
The suggestion that riding a bike is enough to handle the tour is misleading.
If you can handle the scooter, the tour is great. We saw a lot and the ride was pleasant.
