Itinerary

Put on your party pants and get ready for an evening out at the Gros Islet Street Fair. Your private driver will pick you up at your St. Lucia accommodations between 7pm and 8pm, according to your directive.

Once you arrive, you'll let your driver where and when to meet you for your safe, guaranteed ride home in 4 or 5 hours. You can enjoy the party without worrying about transportation. Your shuttle will bring you back to your hotel by midnight, but the party goes on until 2am, and later pickup options are available at an additional cost (payable direct).

Indulge in some traditional island food such as lobster and grilled seafood, accompanied by beer and rum (all food and drinks at your own expense). Then, hit the street-wide dance party, hosted by local island DJs spinning Caribbean tunes, until you decide you've eaten, drank, and danced your fill.

This was our second trip to the Street Party, (it is that good!) , and our second trip with Steven. It was like travelling with a friend, rather than a tour. As before, he had some great recommendations, both for food and venues. The Street Party is something else, and should be on every visitor to St Lucia's list of things to do. Most important thing to note, was how safe we felt walking around. A must do if you visit this beautiful Island.

After hearing about Gros Islet’s Street Party, I knew it was something I would be interested in. I will suggest that if you arrive to the island of St. Lucia on a Friday to schedule your pick up later in the evening to give yourself time to settle into your accommodations. Steven contacted me earlier in the day to confirm reservations and to inquire about room number at the resort. He was very kind. We had a long travel day so we made it to the resort later than excepted. As soon as we were checked in I let Steven know our room number so he would have for resort security. It was at this time he let me know that something unexpected came up and he would not be able to pick us up. He assured me that we would still be in great hands with Nicky. Steven was very apologetic. Nicky arrived a few minutes before our 8:30P pick up time. His energy was great. He was funny and in party mode which helped us since we had a long day already. He made sure we connected on WhatsApp for efficient communication for the evening. He told us what to expect at the party. The party was about 10 minutes from our resort. He dropped us off and told us that he would pick us up from the same spot. The only thing he asked is that we give him a notice of 20 minutes. The street party was great. The energy was high the entire time. If you’re not a party person don’t worry. They have many restaurants that you can visit to have a more intimate experience. There were a ton of vendors that had food, alcohol and souvenirs for purchase. There was also a DJ that made sure everyone got into the island spirit turning the main cross section into a huge dance floor. After messaging Nicky to let him know we were ready to leave he was there in no time at all! I highly recommend reserving private transportation to St. Lucia’s Friday Night Street Party! It took the stress and headache out of getting to the party on our own. I also recommend booking as early in advance as you can spots fill up fast!

He picked us up from our resort right on time (actually a few minutes early!), and greeted us with a warm smile and a clean, air-conditioned van. As he drove us to the Friday night street festival, Steven explained all the details of the event and gave us helpful tips to make the most of our night. OMG, it was sooooo FUN!! Steven was our tour guide. He took us on a mini tour before taking us to the street party where he introduced us to the Best Rum Punch Ever. He was very accommodating. He even let us change our pick up time. He knew, what we didn't! 🤣 We will definitely do this again when we return. Don't be afraid because it says "guided." He answered all of our questions, made a few suggestions based on what we wanted and gave us the space to explore and make memories. He was punctual with our pickup and drop off. Trust me, it was great!🥰

Uncle Steven....you are a legend!!! The only regret I have is forgetting to tip him after 1 too many rums!! We had the best evening and Steven is one of the best people we have met here in st lucia without a doubt, please book with him and you won't regret it. We were taken to see some good after party sights before hand and then taken to the street party. We specified what food and drink we liked and he introduced us to some amazing people and left us to it. He also have us a time and pick up spot and was there to greet us and take us back. The chicken at the end of the strip was 10/10 and the drinks were amazing. If your swaying about this excursion then please just book as you won't be disappointed. Great people, great vibes, great night. Wish I was still here next week to do it all again. Our tour guide was very nice and punctual. Gave us after parties we could go to after the street party as well as suggestions for what we could do on other days outside the resort. As far as the street he showed us and told us all about so we'd would get lost and knew where to get. The street party was FUN. Our was checked on us but also let us explore. Loved the experience.

Andy(andel) our driver was a great guy, dropped us off & walked around showing us which areas to keep to. Agreed a time with us that suited us to get back to our hotel to get our shuttle back the our other sandals hotel. Would highly recommend this street party if you love street food drinking & dancing until the small hours. We got picked up at 7 when the street party started so it we could see the area before it got busy at 8 so we could get our bearings. This street party was nothing like we have experienced before where everyone e had fun ( & a few drinks) if you love fish you will enjoy the bbq fish vendors cooking fresh fish right from the bayside

Steven messaged us throughout the day asking what we would like to experience ect so that we got the best experience for us, he messaged us when he was en route to our hotel for pick up, walked us around the street party so we knew our surroundings and then left us to it when we felt ok. He kept in contact throughout always making sure we felt safe, arranged a meeting point at our desired time and picked us up promptly. Would highly recommend, he was so lovely and friendly and shared lots of knowledge with us too

Not all it's cracked up to be

Pretty big let down. The listing talks about a hosted area and a complimentary rum punch, neither of which we received. The driver picked us up at the hotel on time but then dropped us off with a very brief overview of the surrounding are and told us to text him whenever we were ready to go. Well, that would have been great if we had proper cell service and had been able to get in touch with the driver. Instead we wound up wandering through fairly sketchy streets approaching anyone who even resembled our driver. Finally we connected and made it back to the resort. The to-and-from the resort was fine but we could have taken a taxi for less than a third of the price and likely a more timely return. Who knows, maybe if we had actually gotten everything we paid for I may feel different. But in the meantime I am left feeling swindled and it severely detracted from the fun of the street party...

Our second attempt as the previous week rained out. A little disappointing as mostly tourists and DJ playing Club Ibiza type music. Very inexpensive alcohol, more plentiful than Sandals resorts who constantly ran out. Do take cash as credit cards not accepted. Worth having a Private Guide, Marcus was very interesting. We went on to Matthews Bar at Rodney Bay who make excellent cocktails.

Unfortunately the weather was so bad, heavy rainfall the Street Party didn't happen. We asked our guide to take us to a Rum Bar, we went to Matthews at Rodney Bay and had a wonderful evening tasting local rum . We have re booked the tour as we have checked the weather forecast , fingers crossed. It is worth checking the local weather forecast especially if you are here during hurricane season.
