We joined the tour in June 2026. Our guide was a friendly, knowledgeable and informative person. He provided lots of interesting information and history of Peja. Great to see the outskirts of Peja i.e. Bajrakli Mosque, museum and the amazing scenery in Rugova Canyon and waterfall. Great and wonderful half day tour. We learned much of the culture of Peja. We highly recommend!
I was really excited for the tour and took a bus round trip from Pristina for it, but unfortunately I had a bad experience with the guide. Proceeding from the first second I arrived he was extremely rude, condescending, and combative. He chastised me for standing on the wrong side of the station, got upset I sat in the backseat (even though I did so because I thought more people were coming), and even when I just politely asked his name he replied "well, you should have checked your whatsapp...," which funnily enough I showed him and it wasn't there. After 5 minutes I politely told him that I come with kindness and if he continues to speak like this to me for no reason that i would rather not go on the tour. He managed to agree that we put this behind us and the tour luckily got better and he even helped me find a postcard. When we got back in the car towards the nature, he got back again to making condescending comments to me. It got so bad that the last two hours I just didn't want to speak anymore, and even had to ask him where we were going as he wouldn't tell me.
As he was dropping me off, he finally said "I can tell you didn't have a good time...I said you think?" and then proceeded to try and argue with me to not leave a review. I told him it wasn't a misunderstanding and anyone being spoken to like that would have been offended regardless of culture. He then tried to backtrack and say it was all joking, which obviously it wasn't, and kept me in the car to argue with me again to not leave a review but I was finally able to get out and walk away.
I have traveled to over 85 countries, taken 100s of tours, and this is only the second time in my life I left a one star review. Everyone in Kosovo is extremely friendly and kind, so it's disappointing after all the positive comments I read about this tour that this was my experience. I can definitely say now that I wish I had just taken a taxi instead to the nature and just explored on my own.

We have spoken with our guide regarding what happened. While there may have been differences in communication and perception during the tour, we take seriously any situation in which a guest feels that they were treated disrespectfully. That is not the experience we want any of our guests to have.
At the same time, we are disappointed that the experience described in your review does not reflect the experience of the vast majority of our guests. We have received many positive reviews over the years, particularly regarding our guides, their professionalism and the way they present Kosovo and its culture.
Our tours often include discussions about Kosovo's history, including the complex relationship between Kosovo and Serbia. These are sensitive subjects, and our intention is always to provide historical and cultural context in a respectful and professional way, never to make a guest feel uncomfortable or targeted.

Visar was an excellent ambassador first for his country, and for his city Pejë. Professional and competent he is an excellent guide and good advisor to explore Radavc and Rugova canyon. Great introduction to Peja and the nature is very beautiful. The private transport was nice and effortless for us to just sit back and enjoy. We were glad we did not attempt to drive the small road in Ragova Canyon and by the cave. Recommend doing as soon as you arrive to the city.
Visar was a wonderful guide. Our bus was late arriving in Peje and so we missed our meeting point. A phone call to Visar enabled us to find each other. Visar was very flexible in allowing us to join the tour late and made a special effort to ensure that when the tour was over we arrived in time to catch the bus back to Prizren where we were staying. The tour itself was a very good mix of cultural and geographical sites in Peje - to get a good understanding of the history of Peje and the beauty of its surroundings I would highly recommend this tour and Visar the guide.
Nice tour of the city of Peje & surrounding natural places. The guide was friendly and knew a lot about the city, history of Kosovo and the Balkans. It was interesting to talk with him. Recommend this tour.
East was a wonderful guide. Highly recommend him. We started the trip in pretty Peja, then we discovered Rugova, which is magnificent. Next week discovered the Sleeping beauty cave. East was a wonderful guide, we had a great time with him, he is knowledgeable and knows and loves showing people his country. Flm East.

The tour was awesome, I visited beautiful places. I had a great time with Visar, he’s a great guide. He gave a detailed explanation of everything. It was amazing! Highly recommend it!
Visar met us at the station. He was so well groomed and had a lovely fragrance too. He took us around town, stopped for a coffee, visited a museum then took us to the bazaar. What a selection of lovely items from clothing, tabacco, household items, carpets, gold and silver to mention a few. We then visited the monastery, beautiful surroundings. Headed to Rugova canyon and he walked us down to the canyon. Then headed towards Radac cave. During the walk to the cave you also stop near the White Drin waterfall. Visar took photos not only when we asked but he also offered. He then dropped us back to the station to get our bus back to Prisna. Visar is truly an asset to the company.
Private guide who spent much time sharing the history of Kosovo and Peja in particular as we walked through the city and during the drive through the mountains in his car. The views of the mountains and the waterfall were great, as were the painted walls of the monastery in the Patriachate of Pec, but what was more memorable was the chance to learn about life in this special place over a few hours. Am thankful to have come and taken this tour with Visar.

Market not open on Sunday, so didn't get that in our tour. Perhaps some cultural differences but guide was brusque to me and completely ignored my lovely, curious, kind friend due to race.

As a solo traveller it's not always easy to find good private tours, but this one I can highly recommend! Thank you to my guide Visar who took the time to show me around. He shares a lot of anecdotes about the history and culture of Kosovo in a perfect English. His knowledge about the region is immense. I had a really good time. We visited the Bazar of Peja and its cheese market, the Rugova Canyon, the white drin waterfalls, the Radacit Caves and the monastry patriarcat of Pec, a good mix of culture and nature. Unfortunately the ethnological museum and the Rugova Bridge were closed, but I didn't mind as there were so many other amazing things to discover! Top Balkan Tours also offers Hiking Tours.

Although our tour took place at the 1st of May, where most of the bazar shops and museums were closed, our guide has made it up with all the stories about the history of Kosovo, the tradition of people, and we had extra time among the beautiful nature :)
The canyon, caves, rivers and waterfalls were all breathtaking , the long walks, multiple stops for photography and snacks, even the joy of cold ice cream up there will remain as beautiful memories of this day.

Paintings in the monastery was the highlight of the day for us. Walk to the cave is amazing even on a grey day.
Calm and friendly tour guide, who answered all of our questions. It was an easy way to see a lot of Peja in a day. The waterfalls were beautiful but unfortunately the cave and bridge were closed on the day of our visit.
The sleeping beauty cave Was beautiful. We highly recommend any travellers to Peja to go on this trip, as most destinations in this tour are not accessible by foot and can only be reached by car.
